I know this is a little scatterbrained, but I can't find a way to meld all these thoughts on the podcast together in a fitting manner, so here goes nothing...
-Nikki was a great addition to the podcast no doubt about it. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I'm looking forward to her reviews in the future.
-As someone that is not currently reviewing comics, I tend to retain a very small number of stories much like most of the hosts. I'd say between 5-8. It's actually how I've been able to pair down my pull list to such a small number (about 12 books a month give or take a few impulse buys), because I figure that if I can't even remember what's happening in a book from month to month, clearly it's not holding my attention enough and could easily be read in trade where it'll probably be more enjoyable to me. I also tend to watch multiple TV shows at a time as well, so keeping all that stuff in my head tends to be a challenge, though I find that the stuff I am able to retain month to month (or week to week with a TV show) is the stuff that I truly love. I think I could still tell you what happened in Lost but I can't for the life of me remember much about this last season of 24.
-I'm curious to know how Bobby plans on getting rid of his single issues. I know he's mentioned this before on the show but I'm in a similar boat in that I want to either buy my favorite arcs in trade or just get rid of single issues that I never continued on with. I'm currently thinking eBay but I'd love to know if there's another way to go about it.
-I don't want to get into the actual event discussed during the last part of the show but Bobby's message affected me enough to actually do more research on a situation that I sadly had little knowledge of prior to listening to this episode. I would encourage anyone that might have skipped out after the new releases to go back and listen.

This kind of falls in line with both topics of getting rid of single issues, and ridiculously expensive comics people try to sell or think are worth something. And there is a fine line between people who buy comics because they think they'll be worth something, and people who buy comics, read them, but eventually get the collected editions and so have no use for the singles, or didnt enjoy them that much so no longer want them.
I also recently just ran out of space in my apartment for my long boxes so went through and was brutal. There are some series I want to hang onto and say "I collected this when it came out" but sometimes something just has to give. So for anyone out there, especially anyone who really needs the money too, who has the entire Batman New 52 run and Saga. Ebay. Now. I recently came across some unexpected an unwelcome expenses and sold both runs (Saga from #1 to #20 and Batman from #0 to #33) for 400 each. I have the trades/hardcovers of each so I won't miss the singles. And if someone is stupid enough to spend that much, I'll humour them.
Also glad there's a fellow 90's Superboy fan out there in the world. Loved him so much. So SO 90's, but so much fun. World Without and Return of Superman are acually great reads, the mullet being the only downside. But some great character moments from the entire DC universe.

Another site for selling comics is Comic Collector Live. I don't have any experience selling on there but I've definitely bought comics on there and I always recommend it to people.

Great Podcast debut, iamasianbatgirl Bob Reyer That Lovecraft documentary is fantastic. So glad you gave it a bump. I was wondering if you had a favourite Lovecraft comic book adaptation? Keep up the great work, guys.

You set a pretty high bar for the rest of us new contributors appearing on the podcast - I'm afraid I'll probably be limbo-ing under it!

Congrats on your first podcast iamasianbatgirl you did a great job! It was awesome to see Batman Beyond 2.0 brought up on the show. Also, congrats to you as well courtneyk, I love the work your doing with the News Releases on the site. Keep up the great work! The most I can really retain vivid memory of each week is about 6-7 books, anymore than that and it's an overload. Thanks for speaking from the heart at the end of the podcast angelus104 it's very refreshing to hear someone speak openly that way.

I was trying to think about how many books I can really retain - probably no more than five, if I'm honest. I also thought about the pull list question. If I could keep only five each month I think mine would be Loki Agent of Asgard (of course!), The Wicked + The Divine, Ms. Marvel, Saga, and Silver Surfer.

Keep up the great work, guys. Lenny, "Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown" is a gem; it's such a shame it had such limited distribution initially that very few people know of it! There have been quite a few HPL adaptations that I've enjoyed, and at the top of the list would be Bernie Wrightson's "Cool Air" from Eerie back in the Seventies, and the Cross Plains Comics' very respectful version of "The Call of Cthulhu" by Roy Thomas with art by Esteban Maroto, first published in 2000. I'd have to also throw in the "trilogy" that Marvel did in the revived Journey into Mystery #3 to #5 back in 1973, when Ron Goulart adapted Robert Bloch's "Shambler from the Stars" (in which Mr. Bloch "killed" a character very similar to HPL!), then did HPL's "answer", "The Haunter of the Dark" (where a character named Robert Blake meets a strange demise!), finished off with Mr. Bloch's "The Shadow from the Steeple". The art, by the way (and in order!) was by Jim Starlin, Gene Colan, and Rich Buckler, and was all very well done! Afterlife with Archie #6 might take the prize for books "borrowing" the Lovecraftian elements!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the HPL documentary!
