I think what you and Mara do is really really good. I like the fact you talk about that previous Wednesdays favorite book. Maybe more time for questions? Although I suppose that would be based on the news of the week. Since it's always just you two, you could talk about something that you really love. Be it comics or games or those statues Mara really likes. Draw attention to something that our community can maybe get into. Maybe not every week but twice a month. It could constantly be changing. Just an idea.

3. Good gimmicks vs bad gimmicks

I'm sure you've been asked this before, but any chance you could convert/upload comics and coffee episodes as a podcast and put it on the Talking Comics Feed? Love the show but often have difficulty finding time to watch it on Youtube. Thanks!

I'm sure you've been asked this before, but any chance you could convert/upload comics and coffee episodes as a podcast and put it on the Talking Comics Feed? Love the show but often have difficulty finding time to watch it on Youtube. Thanks! I would also love to have it on iTunes! |

Don't have that Adam guy on again, not that he was bad that one time, it's just hard to listen/watch myself without cringing a little bit (Just realized that was months ago, jeebus time is flying by).
Joking aside, I can't always catch it, but digging on this mostly for the shorter runtime. Also, eagerly awaiting straight up audio.

I like the idea of Comics and Coffee in podcast/audio format, but I think the whole point of the current format is to drive people to the Google Hangout so everyone can talk among themselves and to Bobbie and Mara during the show. It's different than a podcast because it begs for real-time interaction with the hosts. I think people might stop waiting for it to become a podcast and actually participate if the visuality of the format was taken advantage of more than it is now. Maybe incorporate some pictures of comics that are being discussed, or photos of creators. When talking about Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, insert a few pics of her or PIP video. I think keeping Comics and Coffee on Google Hangouts/YouTube is smart and NOT making it available via streaming audio/podcast gives it time and room to become its own thing and not a competitor or supplement to Talking Comics or even Missfits...just my 2 cents.
After all that I realized I've never hosted a Google Hangout so maybe inserting pics and PIP video isn't even a feature. I might have to rethink my 2 cents...
