Liked the show, as always!
In the podcast you asked which Final Fantasy game would be the best to start with, for me it would either be VII or IX. VII was the first one i played and is still the most epic one in my opinion. And IX has to be my favorite one, charming story, good gameplay and amazing characters. Both can be found on the PS store.
Oh, and Rogue Legacy is an awesome game!I've been addicted to it ever since it came out for PS3/4 and Vita last week.

Sorry my question wasn't clear. I'm looking to play my first Final Fantasy game on PC. I don't have a Playstation. I heard several mentioned in response to my question on the show, but must admit I'm a little confused as to which one is the appropriate suggestion for my platform. Thanks!

I know I'm not on the podcast, but I thought I'd chime in... Currently on PC, I believe you can get III, VII, VIII, XI, and XIV. Though I think the TG crew said IX is the one they'd start with, that's not available for the PC. TI seems like VII is the "quintessential" version. It's worth noting that it's the first one Square brought to the PC (just last year) so clearly they're testing the waters with what they feel will be their most successful edition of the game. So, unless you delve into console emulators for your PC, your options are somewhat limited, but starting with VII, you get what most fans seem to think is the pinnacle of the series.

I haven't even checked Steam yet, it was just recommended to me as a RPG to try out on my new gaming laptop. I appreciate the clarification.
