Is anyone else saddened, miffed and frustrated with the news that Fraction is done with Hawkeye? I wonder what is going on there between him and Marvel? Is this a result of a possible rift with them over the Inhuman book? I thought I read that their parting of ways over that book were completely amiable.
Anyone have any idea what's going on? What a shame to lose him from a book that had taken so many by joyful surprise.

Drew, Hawkeye was such an unexpected pleasure that's its loss is doubly hard to swallow. I speak with no special knowledge of the situation, but it seems to me that taking on Inhuman started the dominoes falling; first Mr. Fraction had to drop Fantastic Four and FF due to conflicting schedules and work-load issues caused by Inhuman, which then ran off the rails, and Hawkeye followed it over the cliff. Matt Fraction will be bringing us great stories and characters through his creator-owned works, but his off-center take on mainstream super-folks was quite refreshing, and we can only hope that he'll be working in that vein again sometime soon.

I'm sadder than I ever thought I'd be over a comic book. Hawkeye is one of the first books I started reading when I got back into comics. It's been everything I never knew I wanted in a comic book. And I will always wonder what Fraction's Inhuman book would've been. It's just a shame all around.

It was my go-to recommendation book (during 2013) for non-comic book readers. And then...you couldn't beat David Aja's beautiful art work.

I haven't heard anything official about this, but i'll take your word for it.
Sadly it was to be expected, with the delays and Fraction leaving FF and Inhuman. And probably its also because of Fraction wanting to focus on his creator owned work.
Its a shame that it has to end this way, especially since it was such a unexpected hit when it first came out. Something as great as this book should've gone on forever in my opinion, but at least we got a twenty or so issue run that was excellent for the most part.

I'm really sad about this. Hawkeye was one of the first books I picked up when I started reading comics again and I immediately fell in love with the tone, the artwork, and Matt Fraction's wonderful writing. I suppose I'm not totally shocked because of the delays, and there's always Fraction's creator-owned stuff to read, but I will definitely miss his take on Hawkeye.

It's going to suck not having him on Hawkeye, but I don't think it has anything to do with any bad feeling between him and Marvel. The book has be plagued with delays, so it was just a matter of time.
As long as he does a martial arts master Doctor Strange book come time for the movie, I'll be a happy camper.

According to him, the sign language issue took a LONG time for both him and Aja. That delayed things immensely. Why they couldn't just have done the Kate books all in a row as an arc, I don't know? Annie Wu seems like she is always drawing, judging off her tumblr.
