Safe to say not many people (myself included) have been enjoying the New 52 Catwoman run. Unlike the TC team I liked what Judd Winnick was doing. But then Ann Nocenti took over and, not to be negative towards Ann Nocenti who I know has written great comics, wrote the worst Catwoman I'd ever read.
So this new announcement for the new creative team is a breath of fresh air. I'm more excited by the fact that I've never heard of Genevieve Valentine and she hasn't written much so it's a completely fresh start on all fronts.
Also excited it's focusing more on Selina's criminal side because as much as I love Brubakers run, trying to copy that again would be pointless and impossible to match. The thought of her being an almost Kingpin like character in the DC universe is exciting.
