Man of Steel #1 from 1986, easy to track down and cheap. First trade is great, but the first issue especially. Adventures of Superman #14 from last month (hard to find now, but you can get it digitally) Batman + Superman Annual #4 (VERY hard to find cheap, but its collected in the Superman Beyond trade paperback which is one of the best Superman story I've ever read, just don't let the cover art of the trade fool you, the interior is amazing)

i do not read a lot of superman, but Kingdom Come is truly a one of a kind story in my view.
