People (like me) are quick to point out where a movie made changes to a character or plot line that didn't work or that they didn't like. What about when they make alterations that, while not in keeping with the source material, actually works or is interesting? Can you think of examples that, while you may not want to see it become comic book continuity, still is entertaining? For example, I really liked what they did with Falcon. I thought they stayed true to the core of the character, while at the same time, updating the character so he fit into the type of story they were telling.

Sadly because there are always wars and armed conflicts, up-dating Tony Stark's injury from the Vietnam War to the modern Middle East was positively seamless!

I sometimes like how unconnected stories become connected in the movies. Sometimes it's bad, or too much, but merging Weapon X with God Loves Man Kills and having Stryker be the head of the Weapon X program instead of a preacher (which falls somewhat flat with me, honestly) was really cool.

I didn't mind the change from Wasp and Hank Pym to Black Widow and Hawkeye as original Avengers. While I like Hank & Janet, and the abuse storyline is one of the more emotional ones in comics. Visual and storytelling wise, it probably made more sense to go the way they did

a lot of what they did with Thor worked well like rainbow bridge (which was amazing) and getting rid of toothgnasher and toothgrider which wouldn't work.
But you have to remember about captain america and how they still had WW2 cap and not making him a miracle of modern medicine instead. So it is possible to translate the original stuff over to the big screen.

I like the changes they made to Jane Foster especially since I never liked Donald Blake.

I like the changes they made to Jane Foster especially since I never liked Donald Blake. I'm currently reading the original Avengers series and every time he turns into Donald Blake I'm like awww (awww here for disapointment.)
