Anyone read #0? I really liked it. Nova's backstory was given to us in 3 pages, he was used as a smart exposition device for the history of the Watcher, and we learned what the Watcher does and why. It was really new reader-friendly, while also having some good nods to long-time readers (the double-page splash of the multiverse was SWEEEEET. Good art, good story, made me look forward to seeing how they deal with his death in #1. I actually like the way they are dealing with the tieins by literally making them extras instead of vital info. If you like a character, you can pick it up. If you don't, it's fine, you won't be lost in the main story. The tieins for F4, All-New Invaders, etc. seem to make sense since those titles are uniquely prepared for delving into the 'original sin' of the characters due to what the books are actually going through right now. This is an event I can get behind. Hope the story's good, ha.

The ad copy about "the most cataclysmic event in Marvel history" put me off at first, but I like the Watcher (since the What-if days) so I plan on picking this up. Haven't read issue 0 yet, but I'll make a point of it after reading your post.

Caution: it's $5, so if you aren't sure, try to read it at the shop if you are buddies with the guy running it. I wouldn't want to be the cause of you wasting money on something you end up disliking.

I'm definitely in on the event since I've heard the Young Avengers will be involved with it (and the glimpse of them in the multiverse was a OMG YAY! moment for me), and I thought this issue was a great set-up for it.

Just read this issue tonight, and I have to say this was one of the better setup issues for a event. Waid did an awesome job with bringing two lesser known characters to the forefront of a major event and giving it a lot of heart.

I also just read #0 and I will be picking up the main title, is a very interesting premise and also the fact that we will get weird pairings such as Punisher and Dr. Strange. But other than the main title and whatever books I'm already buying (seems Amazing Spider-Man, GOTG, Daredevil and Uncanny X-Men are already going to be part of the event), I won't be getting Original Sins or the millions of point issues.

I thought this was a really good lead in issue to the main title. I'm looking forward to the event now more than I probably was. I love Jason Aaron's work on thor so have confidence that it's gonna be decent but with the way this sets the story up I'm really looking forward to it now.

Yeah, the 0 issue was unexpectedly excellent. Very impressed.

I'm one of those people that doesn't mind events. So I was already going to read Original Sin, that being said I thought issue 0 was excellent. I knew of the Watcher from years of reading but nothing more than that. Getting a glimpse behind the curtain hopefully makes the series and his death mean more.

Did anyone else really like Original Sin #1? The art is amazing and I'm really liking the small teams structure to how everything is playing out.

I knew nothing about it when my friend handed me his issues, and I have to say I like where the series looks like it is going, but I liked the art in the #0 issue more than the Deodato art.

Deodato is a miss or hit with me, well in this one he is a hit and his style is PERFECT for this kind of story....and I liked how the story was set up and the team ups we are getting (Doc Strange and Punisher?!)

Ditto on the team-up aspect of the story. Just got done reading Original Sin #0 and #1 and thought they were both very well done. Looking forward to seeing what comes next. - Beau
