Besides this cover being one of the most awesome things I've ever seen, I feel like talking about Sex Criminals. What are your thoughts on the series so far? The characters? The bar scene? I'm loving this book so far but wanted to hear what other people think

This is my book of the year. The colors in this book are an outstanding. The art likewise. It's funny, charming, graphic and a freaking fun time to read. Plus... That cover. Amazing.

Yeah that cover pretty makes me happy in every way imaginable. Plus it fits the tone of the book so appropriately. I agree though. Sex Criminals has really grabbed me and won't seem to let go. It's fun, funny, surprisingly human and really makes you care about the two leads in ways I didn't think comics could. I will be reading this for as long as they put it out. Plus those recap pages...oh those recap pages.

It's definitely the most subtly charming book that I have read in a long time and I can't wait to see what kind of crazy capers Matt Fraction is able to put into this book.

I'm also interested in seeing just who the people are that can see and interact with the two main leads. And who else might have the power that they do. There are a lot of possibilities for great stories to be had with the book

At first it took me a really long time to go read this. It didn't sound like my cup of tea. I don't really like books about relationships. I can never get into them.
But after hearing the podcast talk about it so much I started to get interested. I read the first issue and couldn't stop. It's so snarky and sarcastic.
I love the concept, and how it isn't super immature like I thought it could end up being. This is probably my 2nd favorite series from last year. I just ordered that awesome 4th printing variant, and can't wait until wednesday. I'm trying to get my girlfriend into it, but she doesn't really seem interested.
I'm excited to see where it goes, and I hope it's just as successful as Hawkeye is. Zdarsky and Fraction mesh perfectly.

I read as far as #2 but it didn't grab me. I find it difficult not to pick up a trade though, if I'm not enjoying something and so many trusted sources are. I'll pick up the trade and give it another go.

I love this book, I've never bought 2 copies of the same book, but the 4th reprint I will make an exception for. Makes me laugh so much, I normally end up reading it and laughing at all the dialogue, then going back through all the panels and laughing at all the background jokes in the panels. Loved the Benny Hill scene in issue 2.

I really like how issue for is bringing things together with these sex police as we continue to learn more about who they are. And there's nothing like a dildo punch or being tazed by a fleshlight. This is definitely one of my favorite books out right now.

And there's nothing like a dildo punch or being tazed by a fleshlight. This sentence. It needed more emphasis. I hope they go more into the sex police in the next issue. I also am curious as to why they have this "power" that they have.

I also am curious as to why they have this "power" that they have. Agreed. They obviously have the same ability to stop time as Suzie and Jon, but I'm curious as to how they got into Suzie and Jon's "quiet". Do all people with this ability always continue on with their life when someone else freezes time? Does it have a specific radius it only effects? I want to know more about the sex police as an organization too.

I think the premise of the book is interesting but I've never been into that sort of content. Saga hits the cap of my raciness.

All comments about the art and overall tone of the book is spot on. Didn't think I'd like this book. Felt like it was going to be over the top for shock (rhyme not intentional) Fraction hit his sweet spot with this title though. And again, the art is spectacular, and fresh. Two thumbs up.

I didn't think I would like it either. The concept is really not for me, but the way they put it together is just so awesome. I'm really trying to get my girl to start reading it cause it's such a sit-com type thing, but she doesn't ever listen to my recommendations lol.
