I feel like there are a lot of great creators writing some awesome stories and arcs in today's age of comics. However, it seems like the big studios have been relying on older story lines for the source material in their films (Days of Future Past, Dark Knight Returns, Winter Soldier, etc).
Which recent arc do you think would be a good fit for the big screen?

This one's for Bob. Having read last weeks Black Dynamite #1 (which was fun) and going on a recent Power Man & Iron Fist binge (which jumped on the blaxploitation, kung-fu craze of the 70's), are there any other comics of that sub-genre one should pick up?
P.S loved last week's show but as an Irishman I must tell you Bob, you gave Saoirse Ronan's first name a bloody nose. It's pronounced Seer-Sha (and means 'freedom')
Best wishes to all from Belfast.

Hey guys great job on the podcasts of late really great stuff. Also thanks for the forums they have really opened up my world as far as like minded people who love to talk comics. There is already a great bunch of people on here that are super fun and respectful. It makes sense that these are the people that have been attracted here as it's a reflection of the respect and professionalism or the talking comics crew.
Now my question. A lot of us have been chatting about Batman Eternal. I was wondering what you all thought of a weekly Batman book and if you had any intention of giving it a try?
Thanks and have a great time recording.

P.B., As I launched into it, I knew I was in big trouble with Ms. Ronan's name, but I didn't want to refer to her as "the young lady who almost played the Scarlet Witch"!! I don't think I've ever heard her name spoken aloud before, but it's still on me to find out the correct pronunciation! Thanks for the info, it's greatly appreciated! Bob ps) I'd bet money that someone says it properly during the Byzantium DVD Extras that I haven't watched yet--ARRGGHH!!! rrr pps) You could have just asked me, Robert dear! Even though "Saoirse" first became popular in the 1920s, it's still the #19 girl's name in Ireland, darling! @udrey

Hello Talking Comics,
I am loving Fatale and Velvet, are there any other series past or present that fit into that genre? Thanks for all the hard work that you do putting the show together and keeping the site going.

Quick question and some thoughts on the All New-Ultimate-Super-Fantastic-ZOHMYGOD-Marvel Now-Universe I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the new Ultimate's launch. Something's about this I really loved and thought might get lost in the wash was the fact we are getting the "core" superhero team of the universe to include 2 African American males and 3 females with not a white dude in sight! All three female characters are strong and unique none of which need to be saved babied of coddled. An entire universe where the lead character is an African American male on a predominantly female team that isn't the "young" "mighty" or "school". Holy crap this smells like progress. I will do lunges (Stephanie) while I eat cheesecake (Bob) and talk about how much I love Canada (Steve) until this launches. Sorry Bobby you're too much of an adult I had nothing to add for you Thoughts?

(I emailed this in a while ago so sorry if it's a duplicate.)
Recently, I've become interested in asking artists for commissions as there are a lot of artists I really admire. But I've been afraid to reach out because I don't really know where to get started and I don't know what the general etiquette is. The last thing I want is to do something accidentally that puts off an artist I love and respect. (I mean have you seen Greg Capullo's arms? They're ridiculous. Dude could break me in half with one hand.)
In past episodes, you all have talked about some amazing art you've gotten from artists at conventions. (I'm madly jealous of Steph's cat-themed sketchbook.) So do you have any tips on where to get started or some guidelines/etiquette to keep in mind when hiring an artist to do a commission for you?

Ok so since they are making X-Men: Apocalypse and using the First Class cast. Say they bring back some characters, that Mr. Singer said he was going to fix. Like Cyclops and Jean Grey who would you guys cast to play these parts? Thanks a lot

Ok, I tried to think of something that might not have been asked before (and might possibly cause debate, because who doesn't like arguing over comics!). This is along the lines of those "Marry, boff, kill" type questions:
Think of your top 3 favourite series/Hardcovers/anything of all time. Now, you have to choose which you would keep, which you would forget (as in forget that it ever existed never to re-discover it again), and which you would burn (if this was the last copy of the story in the world).
Hope to hear some interesting responses!

Hey Talking Comics crew. First, thanks for answering my question on the video podcast about digital vs. print sales, great discussion! I have a question about Dark Horse comics. Since they will be losing the Star Wars license at the end of this year, how do you feel about the future of the company? What do you think the company should focus on going forward?
On the one hand, they have the whole Hellboy universe and have shown it can be successful even when Mike Mignola isn't involved. They also have done a good job with other licensed books, pushing creator-owned titles like The Massive, Mind MGMT, and publishing excellent graphic novels like The Fifth Beetle. I'm a big fan of many Dark Horse books so I'm hoping that losing the Star Wars license will encourage them to think outside the box.

Hey guys, I have a question. I feel like all-ages comics are making a slow come-back after some pretty dark and gritty years but it could be that im just paying more attention to them now that I started reading comics to my little niece and nephew (they love PowerPack). What are your thoughts on the state of all-ages comics and do you have any recommendations?

What new ongoing series do you guys think would be good TV Series or movie?
I think that Saga would NOT work as a show or movie.
Daytripper would work as a movie in my opinion, but I can't think of any new series that would work well as a series, so I was wondering what you guys thought.
