I read it when i first starting reading comics, to this day the end is still my favorite encounter between Batman and the Joker. With all the stuff going on now I do want to go back and read it again to see if I feel any different about some of the more darker parts of the story.

Do you guys have any plans on doing a DC New 52 retrospective?
As it is coming to an end it'd be great to hear what you all thought worked, what didn't work, best, worst, was the streamlining successful?, etc.

That really is a smart idea. It's a really well-defined period to look at, a 3.5 year period of DC Comics.
Animal Man, i, Vampire, Jeff Lemire's Green Arrow were my three favorites that jump right out at me.

I like your character designs for the Talking Comics banner. What are your character's names/abilities?

I like your character designs for the Talking Comics banner. What are your character's names/abilities? Chris, Thanks to the creativity and wit of our good friend Sarah Miles, our heroic avatars have their own spot on our website, hidden away where only those who wish to delve deeply into arcane and eldritch secrets dare travel, as the cost can be great... Seriously though, after we debuted those amazing Hanie Mohd renderings of us as super-heroes, I received an e-mail from Ms. Miles, who thought that they needed to have code names and power sets, and so went about crafting them, and quite cleverly I must say. Just under the logo, running across the top of our website home-page is the drop-down bar, and if you hover over the section marked "About Us", the drop-down will reveal the "Top Secret Talking Comics Database" , where you'll find the creations of this charming young lady. Chris (and of course, anyone else who now discovers this hidden treasure), please let us know what you think of them! (By the way, an additional behind-the-scenes sort of character was added at my insistence, and over the objections of Ms. Miles, but I thought it right and proper due to her fine work! rrr)

What are your favorite random tie-ins to an event book? What were the most annoying/useless??? I'm going to discount Red Sky books simply because it's where they started.

I can't believe I haven't seen those power descriptions yet! Grey guardian! May day has been made lol Jonathan, I'm so glad that you enjoyed the peek behind the curtain! Sarah did a great job capturing our strengths and quirks, as well as fitting them quite nicely to the tone of Hanie's delightful art. I'm wondering now, exactly how "secret" is our "Top Secret Talking Comics Database"?

Hi All!
Im not trying to resurface old wounds but with the release of the new trailer I just wanted to raise something regarding the much maligned Fantastic Four movie that I don't think has been spoken about.
As I understand it from quotes from Josh Trank and Simon Kinberg the movie isn't actually based upon the standard 616 team but instead on the Ultimate Fantastic Four series written by Mark Millar.
From the trailer there are already two distinct parts that seem taken straight from that series. Firstly, the use of going to the negative zone in order to acquire their powers and the scenes in which Reed is younger, something I remember Bob saying wasn't something that had been particularly covered in the regular series.
With the trailers seeming to display a movie that has a great cast and actually seems pretty intriguing will knowing that it isn't based on the 616 universe team and that the movie team hasn't completely trashed such a beloved version but instead the ultimate help you to feel more optimistic regarding the movie generally?
Cheers!

What subjects or things are you guys geeks about, that aren't 'geek' things? i.e things which aren't comics/movies/TV/games etc.
I'm quite a geek about international relations/geopolitics and history, particularly less-covered areas like Mesoamerican history, a bit as well. I've also always found animals and their behaviour thoroughly interesting, and have a few big books about animals and have seen most of David Attenborough's recent documentaries, so I think I'd include that subject as well.
