So, this is kind of like 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon, except with music and very little, if any rules. Whatever the last video/song/album that was shared is, you choose something that it reminds you of or is similar and recommend it! I'm hoping we all discover some great tunes here and have some fun sharing some favorites. I'll start this off with a song that's sort of enchanted me since I first heard it. Not an oldy, but one of my current favorites.

I saw Blood Red Shoes a few years ago and thought they reminded me of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs with more of a mid 2000s British Indie twang about some of there tunes. This is probably my favourite tune of there's

I hope my "old fogey-ness" doesn't derail this, and feel free to kick me out of here if you see the need!
I'm sensing a bit of theme of female empowerment, so on that note, I might have gone with The Runaways, but I went a little newer. To keep with the program I was going to go with a music video, but I'll go instead with a live performance that shows these ladies' musicianship:

Since it appears that I did throw up a road block, here's the music video that was my original choice:

Yes, we're doing it! So fun. This one immediately came to mind after watching that last video, and hopefully it will make Bob feel better about sharing his curmudgeonly live video. This is a great live performance of a Dead Kennedys cover, some of you may hate it, but I think it's amazing.

This is one of my favorite songs from the lead singer of The Vaccines back when he was hanging out with Marcus Mumford and calling himself Jay Jay Pistolet. youtu.be/4zjpXPtKXn4

Courtney,
I'm not sure why exactly, maybe just the beat pattern, but I'm reminded of Frankie Laine's "Ghost Riders in the Sky":
