I was just wondering how everyone feels about The Wolf Among Us.
For those of you who don't know; Telltale Games (The Walking Dead game) based their "choose your own adventure" game off the the Fables comics. This is supposedly a prequel to the book.
I really loved the game. It was well written and dark. The voice actors were better than those on TWD.
The only problem I have with it is they refuse to talk about a release date and they delayed it so far that I almost forgot about everything that happened in the game.
It seems like they don't have enough resources to get it out, yet they continue to pick up more projects (Game of Thrones, TWD season 2)
What do you guys think about TWAO and just Telltale in general?

I could talk for days about Telltale. All the guys there are awesome and I'm proud to call most of them friends. As a 90s kid I grew up on games like Grim Fandango, Monkey Island, I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream and a number of other wonderful point and click adventure games. So to see them keep the genre alive is awesome. I'm really looking forward to their Borderlands and Game of Thrones games as well as episodes 2-5 of The Walking Dead Season 2.
Wolf Among Us is a fantastic title so far but I agree, the wait has been really long. That being said, it seems like they're planning a Fables/TWD every other month thing for 2014 (Jan being Fables) but nothing has been confirmed so far.

Yeah I feel the same way. I'm really curious to see what they do with the Borderlands game.
It just sucks that they keep all of us fans in the dark so much. Like when TWAO came out they didn't say anything about the release date until a week before on an IGN interview they said "it's coming very soon" and it ended up being a week later.
I just wish they would confirm things more often.
I really hope they have been spending the last couple months just getting a surplus done on The Wolf Among Us, so that they make sure they don't fall behind. If they can get an episode out a month that would be great. Especially if shortly after the season finale of TWD they release the Game of Thrones or Borderlands games.
The only thing I hope they change in the future is their frame rate/texture pop in problems. I was hoping they fixed it for TWAO and TWD season 2 but it's still there.
I wish I could write stories that are half as well put together as their stories.

I think since TT is working with Gearbox, it should be really, really good and fit within the universe of Borderlands.
I feel ya there. It seems they have a consistent schedule planned for 2014 so hopefully that will fix that problem. People forget, Episode 1 of Walking Dead Season 1 had a substantial break a la Wolf Among Us as well and look how that turned out.
I've never experienced the texture pop problem (so far) but it does seem to plague a lot of people. Hopefully with more focus on them nowadays and with the increase in games they're producing, they'll find some people to fix the issue.
And yeah, their stories are great. Some are definitely better than others (cough Jurassic Park cough) but they are definitely a talented lot. Now if only we could get that Back to the Future sequel.

Oh i loved the wolf amaong us....That ending!!!!
I really enjoy telltales work. I just finished the latest episode of TWD season 2. its so so good. They took a lot on their plate with TWD, Wolf, GOT and borderlands, but they did do a massive expansion to their team recently, so i think they can do it. I kinda like the unknown aspect of the release date. So many games give us years of leadtime. So to find out hey, next week you get a new episode, i think thats a cool surprise.

really enjoyed the first episode of Wolf Among Us, even though i've not really read much of Fables. DYING for episode 2, though.
i'm also SUPER excited for the Tales of the Borderlands game, whenever that comes out. Borderlands and Borderlands 2 have been my favorite games for the last couple of years and i've played both of them as much as i humanly can. i even got all of the awards in Poker Night at the Inventory 2 so that i could get all of the Borderlands extras (also a tell tale game, super fun.)
my 10 year old son is also a huge fan of the Sam and Max games, so i have to wonder if there will be another one of those.

Yeah I can't wait any longer for the episode. I wish they would just give us a release date so I can stop wondering. "Due sometime after the holidays" is very not specific. I never played any of the Same and Max games. Are they any good?

How dependent is Wolf Among Us on the Fables series. Cause I'm interested in picking it up but I haven't read any of Fables.

Yeah, you don't need to know anything in order to enjoy. It's kind of cool to read the characters and then hear what Telltale did with their voices. Also; I think it might be advantageous to play the game before reading, because some of the things that happen in Ep. 1 are spoiled by reading the first trade. I'm really excited to see if they ever venture into The Farm. But I don't really think they will until next season, since Biggby isn't allowed on the farm. Unless they show why he's not. I REALLY can't wait for ep 2. Ugh

I've never actually read any of the issues, but i really enjoyed the game. and, most importantly it made me want to read the comics.

It seems like the second episode IS coming out sometime this month. That definitely has me, and probably a lot of people, excited.

I read somewhere that it's the beginning of Feb, and then somewhere else said it was the end of Feb. Ugh. I wish Telltale would just give an official statement. I love their games but their communication with the fans is sub par.
