I was on the verge of dropping this, latest issue has bought it some more time. Hopefully a turning point for the book.

Chris and Jon,
If you've listened to this week's show, I probably surprised you with my selecting Fantastic Four #9 as one of my "Books of the Week", but I felt as Jon did that this issue might be the start of a different tone...at least let's hope so!

Heyo,
Just checking. Haven't read the issue fully yet, but #10 - is there a misprint? I seem to have 2 sets of the same couple of pages starting where She-Thing pop's Ben's arm out of his socket and ending on the page where she's fighting Red Wolf.
Anyone else have this? If so, any web ninjas out there have any insight as to what happened to this print, and more importantly if any pages got left out because of this misprinting?
- Beau

In mine, the next page is a continuation of Sharon and Ben's "conversation", and her popping his shoulder back into place...and painfully, too! I would imagine that your LCS will exchange your copy, as it doesn't seem to be a problem with the whole run, unless I got awfully lucky!

Just checked my issue and mine is fine, too. I know Marvel had a printing problem with one of the Original Sin books, too, where a few people were getting their comics out of order.

I have a VERY hard time believing the "storyline" that Marvel cancelled an under performing comic book to try and spite Fox's movie. Do we really think that the comic not being published at the time of the movie is really going to have ANY effect on ticket sales?? I believe some big shake-ups are coming to the Marvel Universe next year and this is just simply a product of that story. I think the canon of thought around comic books has become so focused on the movies that we place too much emphasize on every little change that takes place. Personally I think we may see the comics end the Fantastic Four as we've always known it (Reed, Sue, Johnny, Ben), and a new group of characters will pick up the mantle of the Fantastic Four.

I just caught up on the current run this weekend and loved it. I hope that canceling the book and giving readers some time away from the team gives it new vigor when they eventually (hopefully) come back.

Everyone,
We'll be discussing this on-air this week, and with our friend Huw on board, who's on a quest to read the entire FF run before the NYCC, you can bet they'll be some fireworks...and some emotionalism from your Cranky Old Uncle Bob.

It's been relaunched three times in the past 4 years. It's going ot get another relaunch in another form, just as it has before. BC has been purposely misreading the tea leaves on this for months, for some unknown reason.
