After years in development, the game finally releases next month. Who's buying it? Who's interested in it?

Buying it day of release which I dont do very often anymore. This game just looks fantastic and the fact that it looks just like a regular episode is great.

I'm seriously considering it. I'm hoping it won't have a turkey gun like that other, awful South Park game one PS1!

Bought and have enjoyed the hell out of it. I dropped 3 hours into last night and its great. The fact that there is a trophy for throwing your own poo at an enemy speaks for itself. Favorite game of the year for me so far.

Just bought it today and played it for a few hours and its pretty good especially if you're a fan of the show. I like that it looks and feels just like the show, and the gameplay reminds me of the Paper Mario games which is awesome.

My internet has been down for the past three days (guy hit a main power line so I've been unable to do much online save for what I'm doing on my phone now) so I've been able to play (and finish) a lot more video games lately, South Park: The Stick of Truth included. I bought the game Tuesday and finished it last night.
The Stick of Truth is a true love letter to fans of South Park, whether you've been a fan since the beginning or if you've only watched a handful of episodes. The detail Obisidan put into recreating South Park and Canada is painstaking; with references to other video games, television shows, movies and the show itself every foot or so. The graphics are gorgeous and really make you feel like you're playing a season of the game. The writing is top notch and showcases some of the best work Trey and Matt have done in years. Even if you aren't a fan of the show, as long as you don't mind some REALLY tasteless humor, you'll find plenty to laugh at. The gameplay is phenomenal and much deeper than it looks like on the surface, much like Paper Mario before it. Each class has totally unique and individual strengths and weaknesses, which make multiple playthroughs a must (and considering all the sidequests, trophies/achievements and collectibles in the game you'll need to replay it anyway). It's tough, but always fair, and really encourages outside the box thinking with some of the bigger boss fights.
Probably the coolest thing though is that you really feel like your created character is a part of the universe and not just a version of yourself superimposed into the game like some work of fanfiction. There's a sense of purpose and belonging in the game and just because you aren't an already established character, by the end you feel like you truly are.
The game does have a few graphical hiccups and bugs, just like ever Obisidan game ever made, some of the button mashing sequences can seem unbeatable without a little assistance, and the 100% the game only takes about 15 hours, but these issues are few and outweighed greatly by all the positive things I have to say about the game. It was one of my favorite playing experiences in a long time, I look forward to playing it again and it's a solid contender for my end of the year best list.
9/10

It's been a really long time since I had felt such joy with a video game. If it weren't for the small bugs (which are fine to ignore) this game would have gotten a 10 in my book.

Picked up SoT for Xmas and beat it last week. It was so fun and I had a stupid smile on my face the whole time. Would love to see a similar game, but longer. All of the nods to seasons past and Easter eggs really made me want to rematch the series. Can't say enough good things.
