I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more attention.
This book from content to back matter is freaking great.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more attention. This book from content to back matter is freaking great. Agreed! This book is one of the best books out there, but like most of the threadS for ongoing series on the forum tend to stall. So in the interest of bucking the norm, let's re-energize this thread. Rucka and Lark have built one of the best worlds in comics today. I love the back matter. I thought the ads were real until I started paying more attention. I've read a lot of Rucka's recent stuff and this is easily my favorite.

I have been reading this as trades and loving it! How is it for people reading it month to month? I know some series need the month to month readers to keep going. Anybody know how well this series is doing?

Rucka was on Word Balloon recently saying that Lazarus was doing great Indy numbers [13 - 14K monthly] but if it was at the big'2 it would probably of been cancelled.
It's just such high quality Lark's art is sublime & Rucka is a master and writing interlaced storylines with characters that have such well defined agency. The back-matter is excellent too, lots of detail and its a world they have spent a long time creating and fleshing out. Rucka made a comment on Word Balloon about the last issue which made me go 'huh?' and reread a few issues - makes me wonder what else I have missed - constant high quality output.

For me Lazarus has been the best Image book month to month. I held off reading #21 for a few weeks what with it going away until April. It was tough!
It'll be interesting to see if the TV adaptation gets the go ahead. I know it's in development.

Need to read this series again when I have the time, pretty far behind right now.I have the first 16 issues up on Comixology, but it's been such a long time since I read any of it, think I'm going to start from the beginning again one of these days.

Having reread the first 12 issues again this week I can honestly say that as great as it is monthly, its is amazing to read ala trade just excellent.
I can see it really working as a TV show, it has all the machinations, power plays & hidden agendas to be a big hit if it gets good writers / production.

This is one of the rare books where I read the first trade, went wow this is great added to my pull list and went back and found the first 4 issues. Recently, especially with image titles I have gotten into the habit of reading them as they come out and then going back and reading the full arch once it' done. I rarely go through a re-read without picking up something I missed the first time.

I love this series. I like the art, although I read that some find it "weird". I would say that the art from "Low" is weirder I really enjoy the character of Forever, but it's true that the series became more interesting when more characters started to appear, with their own backstories making the world more "colorful". I think that we are now in a brief hiatus but I'm really enjoying this series.

It's another great world-building book and I love that no matter how badass the Lazari[sp?] are they are not unkillable and that keeps the tension up at all times, the subplots and machinations are fascinating with some truly character driven agendas.
