Aww WWE finally split up the Shield It was to be expected sooner or later but still its a bummer. It is, but as a Tyler Black (Rollins) fan, I'm interested to see where this will go. How about all those firings today though? 11 people gone! Yeah i did not expect them to do that, i've read somewhere that it maybe has something to do with the Network and they might release even more people soon.

As far as I know, the rest of the cuts are going to be more on the administrative sides of things and not on the wrestler side of things, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some more jobbers or non-competitors cut in the next few days. It's gonna make WWE 2K15 (as awesome as it looks) slightly awkward. And yeah, it's due to the network under performing.

You know, I have the network, and I enjoy it, but there are only so many hours in the day lol. It's nice to be able to log on when I want and watch some old stuff, but how long will I pay $9.99 a month for that??

That Money in the Bank PPV next week is going to be pretty interesting. Now that Daniel Bryan unfortunately had to vacate the title there will be a ladder match for the WWE World title and a ladder match for the briefcase.
Hope the WWE will take a chance on one of the guys that has not been the champion before(Wyatt, Reigns, Cesaro) instead of giving it to one of the usual suspects(Del Rio, Sheamus, Orton, Cena)
And it would be nice if Seth Rollins won the briefcase.

It definitely will. Honestly I'm thinking it will probably be Reigns or Cesaro who wins since The Wyatt Family is set to probably win the tag titles and it would be odd (just from a booking standpoint with them) to have all the Wyatts holding titles. My money is on Reigns but Cesaro winning would be great. As for the actual MitB ladder match, I'm hoping for either Dean Ambrose or Rollins. That way, their feud could be over the briefcase, as well as the betrayal

WWE had the chance to do something awesome at Money in the Bank by making one of the newer guys champion and what did they do?Make Cena the champ...AGAIN.
Oh well, at least Rollins won the briefcase and it was also pretty great to see Jericho and AJ returning on Raw, so its not all bad.

I don't have an issue with Cena as champ this go around because it feels transitional for some reason. LOVE Jericho coming back and working with Bray, that could be a helluva program. They're working on a lot of good things right now, but injuries are hurting. Bryan, and now Barrett.....

Don't get me wrong i've got nothing against Cena, the guy works his ass off and i've got a lot of respect for that. The problem lies more with WWE in my opinion. Instead of giving someone like Reigns, Cesaro or Wyatt the belt, which could have created some great feuds for the championship(Cesaro vs Brock, Reigns vs Seth Rollins or the Authority, Bray Wyatt vs...well anyone...)they do the predictable thing again and give it Cena, who is their go-to guy whenever there's a injury or something like that. And now we're gonna get Cena vs the Authority and(possibly)Cena vs Brock at SummerSlam, feuds that i have no interest in.But that's wrestling i guess... But i do agree with Jericho vs Wyatt, that should be a great feud!

They will be soon, and we can look forward to many years of Ceasaro, Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Bray, and the guy who may the best of them all Harper, but word is they're gonna put the belt on Brock at SS which we lead to Brock/Ceasaro & maybe a big face run for him. The future is bright

Oh man, I just discovered this section. So psyched. I first started wrestling regularly in the months leading up to Wrestlemania X. My elementary school friend, Brock, introduced me to it, I came over to his house one weekend and he was watching either WWF Superstars or WWF Mania. It was probably Mania, because I remember that being the main show I watched. Gosh, I'm rather nostalgic for Todd Pettengill all the sudden. I don't know if any of you remember some of his Slammy Awards routines. Pure gold. From day one I was hooked. I immediately became fans of Razor Ramon, the 123 Kid, Bret Hart, Double J Jeff Jarrett (mainly over my love for country music), Tatanka, Bam Bam Bigelow & the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase (who at this time was just a manager, but I hunted down some VHS tapes of old events at the local Warehouse and got to see matches from 1990s and got to see his feuds with Razor Ramon, Dusty Rhodes and Virgil).
I remember the first Raw my mom set me stay up late for, it was the Raw featuring two matches, Razor Ramon and the 123 Kid vs. the Quebecers (w/Johnny Polo) and Bret "The Hitman" Hart taking on "Doctor of Desire" Tom Prichard managed by Jim Cornette (personally my favorite manger personality, in and outside the ring).
BTW: If you want to check out an amazing match from around that time, I would recommend Bret Hart vs. the 123 Kid. Sometimes Sean Waltman annoyed me as in in-ring character, especially as X-Pac, but during the Kid years, the man could really perform, and Bret Hart always made anyone he worked with up their game.
I remember, I will always remember the months leading up to October 1995. On WWF Mania there began to be this unique promos that were advertising a new wrestler who would debut at In Your House. He was clad in a golden tuxedo and sometimes a golden top hat. His lips were black and his eyes were Cleopatra. He wore his hair long and Hollywood/porno blonde (in retrospect it was little more than a terrible wig, but I was like nine, okay, I fell for the magic. I remember going into a music shop and asking the shopkeep if he had Jeff Jarrett's album "Ain't I Great" in the store, sadly he did not. Neither did any other music shop.). When he spoke he began his vignettes with old time movie quotes. He was, of course, the man that you should never, ever forget the name of <deeply inhale> Gooooooooldust.
I really don't want to undersell how life-impacting the character of Goldust was to me at that time. He was the first one that I identified with, even before I could fully express why, there was something about him that pulled me in, captivated me in a way no other character ever had before or since. He was my gateway into self-awareness. Even at that age, nine going into ten my interest opposed to a lot of my peers, outside of shared interests like video games, action figures and superhero comics and trading cards were pretty different. My favorite singers were Cher, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler and Stevie Nicks. The first two movies I ever bought with my own money were Transformers the Movie and Beaches, which I think pretty much sums it up. There were characters I liked in wrestling, but there was never, up to that point, a character I could imagine myself as. Goldust was it. He had that Cher-level (at least through a wrestling budget filter) of presence. There was glam, classic Hollywood and not a little bit of queerness to the character.
Goldust was also how I learned about homophobia. As a kid, I am sure most wrestling fans did, I used to wrestle with my friends, first Brock who introduced me to wrestling and later friends other friends who I later found out also liked wrestling, and we would always pretend to be different wrestlers. I have a memory of a time when I was hanging out with two friends at Wrestlemania 12 get-together and we were gonna wrestle for a bit before the event and I said I wanted to be Goldust (I tended to be Razor Ramon or Jeff Jarrett before) and they said that he was gross and nasty and a freak. I couldn't really understand why, because I thought he was the coolest, but as one tends to do as a kid, I caved to peer pressure and laughed it off as a joke saying I just wanted to see how they would respond. It might seem silly, but I wasn't honest about Goldust being my favorite wrestler until I reached middle school. I think in a small way that started my realization that there were things about me that might friends might find gross, so I was quiet about them too.
As a wrestling fan I count myself lucky, the Goldust character has been around for nearly 20 years (geez old now) and he's the reason I keep coming back. I don't know if I'll keep watching once he is no longer around, but it continues to be an experience worthy of a Shattered Dreams Production. As of now, I am really interested in the behind the scenes stories of the business. I enjoy Jim Ross' podcast, and I listen to everything Mick Foley or Jim Cornette has to say. For my money, Jim Cornette is one of the most insightful commentators on the wrestling business (a little cursey at times, but always lovable).

I especially liked your Goldust story, i never heard anyone talk about being such a big fan of the character. Years ago, when i saw him on TV sometimes i thought he had a interesting gimmick and i liked his in-ring work but that was it. But then he came back(was it last year?)and i also became a fan,man talk about comebacks! He looks better than ever(must be that DDP yoga)and i think his in-ring work is even better than before. And i love that he gets to team up with his younger brother Cody(or should i say Stardust), also a great wrestler.

Watch some of the "old school" stuff. If you've never seen it kind of in order, you can never understand the fervor and the intensity of World Class and ECW. Watching that stuff week to week was amazing

Watching that stuff week to week was amazing I will definitely watch a lot of old ECW, that was one of the main reasons i wanted the Network, because i missed out on most of that stuff back in the day. I've already watched a couple of ECW Hardcore TV episodes and those are pretty entertaining. Also like watching the Countdown and the Wrestlemania Rewind shows. And the fact that i can watch SummerSlam 2014 in a couple of days on the Network(probably not live because its gonna be in the middle of the night for me, but i'll watch it the day after) is also pretty awesome.
So far its definitely worth it!

It was great seeing SummerSlam on the WWE Network(only 9.99, people! ) Was shocked to see Cena getting absolutely destroyed by Lesnar, i kind of expected Brock to win, but man i wouldn't even call it a match, just a beating, 16 German suplexes! Also liked seeing Dolph as a champion again, though i don't expect him to stay that for long.
