My wrestling story goes like this, my dad got me into it in the mid 70s, we were in VA so I grew up on Crockett promotions with a dabbling of IWA. Later I discovered World Class and everything changed. The Von Erich/Freebirds feud was and still is the greatest feud of all time. While I got out of comics for awhile, I never got out of wrestling. WWF/E and WCW entertained me for years, and then satellite came and I found ECW early on. I was actually watching the night Shane Douglas threw the NWA belt in the trash, and the revolution began. Still watch (not as much but pretty regularly WWE, TNA, ROH, And now PWX here local in NC). And there are ties to comics for me, my LCS is called Parts Unknown(for old school wrestling fans) and is run by John Hitchcock who was part of the original Greensboro "front row crew". They were the original guys who wore the fedoras and glasses and rooted for the Horsemen. Also, he is close friends with Jim Corrnette who has a massive comic collection.

I've been a life-long wrestling fan also. I started watching wrestling in 1985. I loved the NWA wrestling with dusty Rhoads, Magnum TA, the Rock n Roll express, and the four horseman. I prefer the guys who can actually wrestle like Ric Flair (in his prime), Shawn Micheals, Bret Hart and Ricky Steamboat. I don't watch it much anymore. At the time of his suicide, chris benoit was my favorite wrestler. So for me I don't look it like I once did. I do listen to stone cold's and chris Jericho's podcast all the time. I do keep up with what's going on by the wrestling spoiler websites.

He was also one of my favourites, first in WCW and then in WWE.He was just one of those guys that was never a great promo guy but did his talking in the ring and could have a good or great match with almost everyone. That moment where he and Eddie Guerrero were both champions and were in the ring together at Wrestlemania(XX i think?)was at the time one my favourite moments in wrestling.Such a shame and tragedy what happened after that with those two guys. At the end he was a good wrestler but a horrible human being in my opinion.Thinking and talking about it still gives me a bad feeling to this day.

I also like to listen to a couple of wrestling podcasts. My favourite one that i listen to every week is the Art of Wrestling podcast which is done by indie wrestler Colt Cabana, most of the time he's got great guests, from unknown indie stars to wrestling legends to the wrestlers from WWE and TNA that are big now. The Steve Austin one is pretty good too, but i only listen to that depending on who he's interviewing. The Jericho one i haven't checked out yet, should do that some time.

I recommend the 2 episodes were he interviews chavo (not even trying his last name). He talks about eddie's and benoits last days. its very moving.

I do have to agree with most of that. We will never know what happened that weekend. I would like to think it was all the brain damage from his years in the ring. It was such a tragic loss all the way around.

So what do you guys think about the upcoming Wrestlemania 30?Are you excited for it?
With Punk leaving and nobody knowing what's gonna happen with that, the possible main event between Batista and Orton which sounds a bit boring to me and no feud yet for Undertaker, i must say that i am not excited, at least not yet. But its still more than a month away and they just announced that Hogan is going to host the event, so who knows.

But its still more than a month away and they just announced that Hogan is going to host the event, so who knows. Well I DID just get the WWE Network so I'll probably end up watching it since its free with the service. That being said... Tonight's Raw will really set into focus what's going to happen at Wrestlemania. With The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan both appearing, we'll probably start to see feuds solidified for the PPV. Right now, the projected fight for The Undertaker is Brock Lesnar, but with Sting signing with the company, it's always possible we could see the two of them fight. CM Punk WAS originally going to fight Kane and/or Triple H at Wrestlemania, but with him leaving (although Vince McMahon said that they've worked out a deal and now he's just taking time off) it's likely that Daniel Bryan will take his place and fight Triple H at Wrestlemania. The Wyatt's are going to fight Cena, that's been teased since the Royal Rumble, but I personally would've liked to see a Shield/Wyatt rematch. Then again, Roman Reigns is set to start his push this summer so it's likely that we'll see all three members of the Shield in a triple threat match at Wrestlemania. AJ will fight either Tamina (teased last night) or Cameron/one of the Bellas, NAO will fight the Usos and yeah...that WWE title match. Not excited for that one. tl;dr version: Predicted Card: Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker Triple H vs Daniel Bryan Bray Wyatt vs John Cena Reigns vs Ambrose vs Rollins New Age Outlaws vs The Usos AJ vs Cameron/Brie Bella/Tamina Randy Orton vs Batista (filler match i.e Emma/Santino vs Fandango/Summer Rae or Big E vs Swagger/Cesaro) My one hope is that the talk of changing the main event to Bryan vs Batista vs Orton DOES in fact happen but who knows?

First, i must say that i am really jealous of all those people that have got the WWE Network, even though i heard that some people may have some issues with watching all of the on-demand stuff or something like that, but that is to be expected in the beginning, i'm sure its gonna be fixed. And i also think the card is gonna be like you predicted, but except for the Undertaker match(which i'm always excited for, no matter who he's up against)and a possible Reigns vs Ambrose vs Rollins match, i don't really care. Bryan vs Triple H could be good, but i was never all that interested in Triple H, would much rather see Bryan in the main event( but who doesn't?)

Bryan vs Triple H could be good, but i was never all that interested in Triple H, would much rather see Bryan in the main event( but who doesn't?)There WERE a lot of issues at launch, mostly with people GETTING the subscription, but it seems like those problems were just first day jitters. Since 5 PM PST I've been using it just fine and it works like a charm. Like I mentioned before, I love classic wrestling and Attitude Era wrestling so being able to watch the first Summerslam and King of the Ring 98 (Undertaker vs Mankind HiaC match) has been great. I've also discovered a lot of In Your House shows (Valentine's Day Massacre, One Night Only, Rock Bottom) that I never got a chance to watch growing up so it's been great. My only issue with it so far is that the actual TV rebroadcasts are limited to the last few years (for WWE) and WCW and ECW only have two-three years of Nitro/ECW TV. That's not a HUGE complaint mind you, since that could always expand, but just thought I'd share my first impressions. I don't use any streaming services besides Netflix right now, so it seemed justifiable to get it, especially with the free week trial. Anyway... I AM slightly underwhelmed by the card so far after watching Raw last night, but I'm really hoping to be surprised by some of the midcard bouts that seem to be shaping up like Swagger vs Big E vs Cesaro (? They teased a break-up last night signifying his Face turn) or the New Age Outlaws vs Usos (I'm a NAO mark and while they'll probably drop the titles to The Usos, it IS nice to see them still being used while both Kip and BG are still able to wrestle). I too am excited for the Undertaker match, especially since Lesnar is involved, but yeah...I'd really like to have seen Bryan be put into the main event. It seems like it all depends on what WWE wants to do with The Shield right now. If we see a Shield triple threat match, Bryan will probably face Triple H, if we don't and that gets pushed to Summerslam or some other time, he may still be inserted into the main event picture. WWE doesn't like to have multiples of one time of match, especially triple-threat matches, so I'm in wait-and-see mode. The Wyatt/Cena feud could be interesting though, if for no other reason than my blind hope that Cena puts over Wyatt and gives him the main event push he deserves.

If anyone's unsure of getting the Network - don't be - NXTarRIVAL is worth this months subscription fees alone!

I wonder if the rumors are true that CM Punk is going to return tonight on Raw in Chicago. It would certainly make Mania a whole lot interesting for me personally.

I wonder if the rumors are true that CM Punk is going to return tonight on Raw in Chicago. It would certainly make Mania a whole lot interesting for me personally. He probably WILL return tonight (most insiders put it at a 76% chance of him making an appearance) but I'm hesitant to think about what they're going to do with him. His contract expires in July. He left the company for a month and a half without notice. Most of the reason he left was because he felt like he was being left out of the main event picture and was displeased with how he was being used. The way I see it, there are 3 possibilities: 1) CM Punk vs Triple H, like it was advertised back in December, meaning that it will be Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton vs Batista in the main event 2) CM Punk gets his way and its CM Punk vs Randy Orton vs Batista in the main event with Daniel Bryan vs Triple H going along as planned. Orton/Batista win the match since they aren't going to give the title to someone who threw a temper tantrum, quit and has his contract expiring in 4 months (from WWE's perspective) 3) CM Punk returns but is not on the Wrestlemania card because creative didn't/doesn't have enough time to put him in anything. Most likely this would mean his returning is only to shut up the Chicago fans who are going to chant his name the entire show. None of those possibilities sound all that great honestly, except for maybe the first one, but that would be like going on strike only to agree to come back without anything changing. The good news I can take from this, however, is WWE is definitely going to make the main event a triple threat match (since Batista just turned heel and heel vs heel doesn't work as a main event). The downside to that is we won't get that Shield triple threat match but you never really know. One of WWE's biggest issues is they write one-three stories and everything else just gets made up as the show goes along. Right now the only stories they're really building for WM are Wyatt vs Cena, Brock vs Taker and NAO vs The Usos. Otherwise, everything else is in the air right now.

I've been a die-hard NXT fan since the beginning and to see it finally get its spotlight and deliver a mini-PPV that was better than most of the main roster PPVs was great.

Apparently fans in Chicago are planning protests against the "same old shit" that the WWE are doing on Raw tonight. Turning their back on the action and booing HHH and Batista. Cheering Punk and Daniel Bryan.
It'll be interesting to see if it happens!
