I absolutely loved lost but was disappointed with the end. :-( thought there would be a really good answer to the island but I think the producers went with they were all dead as even they couldn't think of anything?. My all time favourite is the first season of heroes. To me that 1 season was perfect start to finish. Sylar is one of my all time favourite villains.

Hey Bobby I found a new series on Comixology I think you might be interested in, it's a unique French comic called MediaEntity. It is translated to English, very well I might add, and is only 99 cents an issue. It's a pretty interesting mystery comic, here is their offical website if you want to give it a look. www.mediaentity.net/

If I could go back in time and tell 5 years ago me that people would actually be asking for my opinion on Lost. I think younger me would have a stroke from excitement. (In fact that sounds like an episode of Lost.)
Lost to me was a show about characters dressed up in a sci fi gown. The questions it raised and scenarios it set up, with its science fiction aspects, were often fantastic, but in the end weren't what the show was really about.
So, when the ending came I didn't get upset about plot details left unresolved, because the characters I loved so much did get their closure. And while we are on the topic, just to be clear, they people in the show aren't dead the entire time. The point is eventually they all do die, and after they do, they find each other because of the time they spent with one another. Everything that happened on the island was real. (Or as real as a fictional show can be :-)

Well last week My wife and I were driving home from our Honeymoon and my buddy downloaded me some comic podcasts to listen to. Never in my life have I listened to a podcast before and this one wasn't very good but it sparked my interest enough to search for some more. I did a google search and yours was one of the first to pop up. I tried an episode from Jan of this year and have listened to 3 now (once per work shift). I love it lol.

Hey Bobby. Big fan of the show. Two quick questions. Looking to get back into Batman, where should I start? The series seems to have a lot of steam and I really want to get in on it. Second, is there a writer currently working today who has never worked on Batman that you would like to read? Thanks and keep up the good work.

If you are interested in the current Snyder/Capullo run I'd say to go back to the #1 from 2011. It's very available in trade form and is through and through awesome. If you want to go back further I'm in love with the Grant Morrison run that began in Batman and Son. It will introduce you to Damian and to a lot of insane concepts that you don't get anywhere else. Here is a reading order for the series comicsastonish.com/2012/01/04/a-readers-guide-to-grant-morrisons-batman/As far as a writer who hasn't written Batman that I'd like to see tackle it? I'd say Rick Remender or Mark Waid (wrote him in Justice League but never solo)

I'm interested to know what got you into podcasting in general, did you get a degree in audio engineering or has the experience come from work? Was Talking Comics the first podcast you created ? I'm just curious as to how you got started in the podcast medium I guess is what I'm asking lol.

I didn't go to school for audio engineering. I'm a film school student by trade. I took some of what I knew from video editing, but a lot of it was learned by just doing. Made a lot of mistakes, did a lot of google searches and I'm still learning today.
Talking Comics was actually the 5th podcast I had started or helped start. I did a show called Good Cop/Bad Cop Movie Reviews, Fanboy Remix (100 episodes over 3 years with Bob Reyer being on half of those) The Need to know News (which is now Man Cave Podcast) and Doctor Whocast.
I started them purely because I fell in love with listening to them. I'm a big believer in if you want to do something just do it. Never wait to be the best at it and certainly don't wait for permission.

Hi Bobby,
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the podcast. I look forward to listening to it every Wednesday and really the appreciate the intelligent and enthusiastic discussions. I live in the great frozen north where there isn't much of a geek community but listening to you guys makes me feel like I belong to something special. Thank you for the good work and I look forward to the next episode.

IMO Mighty Avengers is much more user friendly, especially to someone new to the Avengers. Also, if you are a native German speaker and are reading them in English that's another point in favor of Might Avengers, as the New Avengers has a lot of scientific/conceptual/etc. dialogue to wade through which might be difficult. Just some thoughts. - Beau
