I played for 20 mins, alone and lets just say this game is going to take me forever to finish. It scared the living shit out of me at least 3 times.

I played it on PC, got it for my PS4 and yeah...it's really good. But it's also incredibly terrifying.

I hate horror movies and games. Hate hate hate them. Yet I downloaded it and I'm waiting to start. I will force myself to eventually. With all the lights on of course.

See I absolutely LOVE horror, games, movies, all of it. But this...... This was probably the creepiest and scariest game I have played in years. I was talking to Steve about it on twitter and like him I refuse to play this alone haha. I also play with the Pulse headset so that only intensifies the horror of it all. I can't handle more than 30-45 mins of this game at a time.

I think this will be one of the first games I play when I get my PS4. This and Don't Starve will take up a lot of my time I hope. I've seen a couple clips from it but I'm trying really hard to not get spoiled at all. I love being scared.

Don't Starve is great, I dropped 3 hours into the other night without even realizing it.

I put about an hour into it on Twitch today and really got the s**t scared out of me. Its a fantastic game, albeit on the short side (4-5 hours). And yeah, Don't Starve is awesome. Between Outlast, Don't Starve and the upcoming inFamous, there's a lot of good things to play coming up.

I've downloaded it, but I haven't played it yet. I'm 40 years old, and you guys are scaring me. I might have to delete it before I turn it on! On the flip side it downloaded from PSN really quickly for me.

It's pretty intense, I was going to play a little more tonight but decided to finish getting caught up on comics. I did about a months worth of reading in 2 days.

On the flip side it downloaded from PSN really quickly for me. I think a big thing about the game is just how intense it is from the get go. Jump scares are one thing (there are four definite ones in the first 15 minutes), but what really drives the game is the sense of atmosphere and dread that comes once the lights go out. You're completely defenseless against enemies and your only weapon is a camcorder with night vision so you can see where you're going. Besides that it's a lot of running and hiding. And enemies are relentless. Once they smell ya, you're done for. You can run and hide but they actively will hunt you. As an example: I was trying to avoid this guy and get back to safety. I leaned out a door to see if he was close by and he apparently saw me. I figured there was enough distance between us so I ran and hid under a bed. The battery in my night vision ran out so I replaced it. Mid-animation, the guy dragged me out from under the bed and killed me. Terrifying.

Thanks for the warning, I'm making damn sure I inch my way through this game.

Played once. Got to what looks like the reception room after being thrown off the balcony. That was two days ago. I haven't had the nerve to turn it back on.

Yeah...it gets MUCH, MUCH, scarier after the reception area. Basically imagine a building full of people who want to kill and hunt YOU and you're basically in absolute darkness with no notion as to where they are or where they're coming from. Yay...

My god. From what you guys are saying it sounds so epic/horrible. I can't wait for my taxes to come back so I can pick this up. I already have it added to my cart on the PS store haha, I just need to get my system now.

this game is on sale right now on steam for 66% off. I'd definitely pick it up if you haven't played it yet.
keep the lights on though.
