Just got back from seeing it, not gonna go into detail, but my god it lived up to the hype. End credit scene made me chuckle to.

Ditto, hands down the best Marvel movie for me. It had the perfect mix of action, adventure and comedy. Loved all the easter eggs and cameos and that credit scene was gold!!!

just the one, and it's more a bit of fun than something that hints at future goings on in the Marvel U.

Most surprised by the fact that I found Drax the Destroyer to be the funniest character. Did not see that coming.... Oh, great movie by the way!

To quote my twitter review, Guardians of the Galaxy is like an upbeat Motown song. It was fun and light, lacking a little depth while simultaneously wearing it's heart on it's sleeve. It's the definition of a great summer blockbuster and I'm already looking forward to watching it again in theatres.

I loved all of the them....this movie had me laughing for 80% of the time. Although the opening scene got me in (as the internet would say) the feels lol

I was disappointed by the movie to be honest. Didn't like half the humour and i didn't like the story.

5 months ago I said in these forums that, IMO, Cap 2 was the best Marvel movie made to date. I was right until yesterday when I saw GotG. Better team up than the Avengers with more heart. Groot's line in the end, oh man! That will tug at the heart strings of anyone.

Furthermore, just like DC had trouble following up the Avengers with a heavier toned Man of Steel, I think other Marvel products are going to have a hard time following GotG. Marvel is better off making their movies dramatically different from one another to avoid any comparisons. I guess they have already been doing that now that I think about it. I guess I am specifically thinking of Ant Man.

I saw this yesterday with my wife. We both really enjoyed it, and she put it as her Favorite of the marvel cinematic Universe, I'd have it below Avengers and the cap films. There was a solid mix of humor, action and story. There were some time that I felt the acting was a bit spotty by everyone all around, though that's forgivable as this is a fairly unique project, with not much basis of comparison. over all worth seeing, and worth seeing again. Though I was disappointed with the end credits scene =/. It wasn't bad, I was just hoping for something more than that.

Saw it last night and absolutely loved it. I had no idea who these characters were, hadn't read a thing and decided not to until I saw the movie so it was completely fresh to me. Aaaaaaaand I just got back from my local after spending $70 on Guardians trades. Such a good movie. So much fun. Taking my little brother to see it next weekend and I can't wait for him to see it because I know if I saw this as a kid it would blow my mind.
It was such a relief to see a Marvel film that didn't have any baggage. Even the ending and the post credits stuff, it wasn't a set up for the next thing. It was its own thing and you wouldn't even have to know it was connected to Marvel.
Every character got their moment. It wasn't Star-Lord featuring a bunch of side characters. I felt like a knew them all. And Drax! I expected him to be the most throw away character in the whole film, the muscley guy that punches things. He gave me the most laughs out of all the characters.
"METAPHOR!"

Also did anyone else notice after the end credits sting that 90% of the audience simultaneously went "Huh?" and then the 1% who knew had to then turn to their friends and explain "Well......."? Made me laugh.

Made me laugh. I received texts from graduated college kids all over the east coast (my daughter and her friends, now spread out) asking, who is that??? Lol
