Just read issues 1&2 and I'm loving the start of this. I want to go deeper into the students \ backgrounds. Also, want to see more unwrapped with main charter. I'm liking the conflicts between " students " I'm in for a few months to see where this leads. Well done…..

I posted my thoughts about issue #2 in the books of the week thread so I'll just summarize it here. Love it! I'm all in on this.

When I read the concept I thought it was going to be a mediocre comic and I was sorely mistaken. This has become one of my favorite comics now! The gritty humor that Remender brings coupled with Craig's art is a team that are a perfect fit for this book. But the most surprising/impressive aspect of this book is the colorist. Lee Loughridge executes creative ideas without having them become gimmicks and adding a pleasing visual aesthetic that only adds to the comic in an incredible way. BIG FAN

Just read the trade and had died laughing at issues 4-6, "I'm the King of Acid!". Also beware the digital mountains lol.

This trade was definitely my book of the week. While I'm not a fan of Remender's writing in Marvel, he blows it away with Deadly Class. At first I thought this was like Five Weapons but really it's Five Weapons on acid... And it's amazing! I would love to get more scenes with Maria in her day-of-the-dead assassin gear.

I read the first three issues of this when if first came out. I loved it, but I made the financial decision to trade wait this (along with a lot of other things). All I have to say is, oh my god, this may be my book of the year. Aside from the killing, this was my teenage punk-rock years. I got all nostalgic for sleeping in alleyways, and staying in punk-houses. Then I felt relieved that I never had to do it again.
Remender is just all around killing it right now! Between this, Low, Black Science, Uncanny Avengers, Cap(Only thing I'm not reading by him), and the upcoming, Axis, he's in the running for my writer of the year!

So...it's been a long time since I've been on the forums, so I'd like to address this discussion I abandoned back in what, January? But I gave Deadly Class another issue, and another, and finally came to the conclusion that it was one of the best books of the year. Wes Craig and Rick Rememender are a great creative team. I'm excited for the second arc to get under way.

I honestly think this is the best book of Remender's current work. I like Black Science quite a bit, but this is just on another level for me. One of my three or so favorite series.

So issue 13 came out last week and... I'm gutted, visually stunning character... mutter... grumble... GAARRRHHH!!!! REMENDER!!!!!
This has quickly become one my favorite books / stories, I'm not sure if I prefer this to Low but right Remender is a top creator who I am really enjoying the hell out of. I love Wes Craig's art it creates energy on the page - it's a polar opposite in style to Tocchini's art on Low but I think they have the right creators on the right books.
The great thing about Remender's creator owned stuff is no-one is safe - cannot wait for #14 and more Low soon

Can't wait for this book to come back! There were some interesting interviews floating around about the future direction of this book.
