I really liked Hit. Thought it was a terrific miniseries.
I would recommend Bedlam from Nick Spencer. Criminally under discussed.

It seems like Spencer's creator owned are always confusing. I have posted about Morning Glories too...he just baffles me with his writing sometimes. Visually, Bedlam is something else though.

Alex + Ada has been pretty amazing so far. It makes me want to check out more of the Luna brothers stuff. I've also been really enjoying Jeff Lemire's Green Arrow and the TMNT ongoing is always at the top of my read pile!

I know Steve has talked about it on the Podcast before, but I'd highly recommend The Sword from the Luna Brothers. It takes some familiar tropes from fantasy and revenge tales, and creates a rich world and complex characters.

I'm really excited to read it! I hear Girls is really good as well.

Well Alex + Ada is only half the Luna Bros, but I highly recommend The Sword and Girls they did together. Yeah, it's a good series thus far.

Mighty avengers. I know people are burned out on the avengers shtick but this book is really good. Spotlights different characters than were used to and cage is awesome as always. It's really worth a try. Only 6 issues in.

That's probably the only one not-cancelled that I'd say people should jump on board with. Otherwise I would have said DeConnick's Avengers Assemble or Cable and the X-Force.

if you haven't read any elephantmen I highly recommend it. It's gotta be one of the best comics I've ever read. Seriously go read it right now. And if you're a big fan of the Punisher but find yourself saying, "He's just not violent enough, and too much of a goody good," check out Jennifer Blood.

Nova from Marvel - consistently strong storytelling and I never hear anyone mention it. Nova was really good, I ended up missing one issue and totally fell off though. I considered starting over but I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with my titles I pull weekly as of late. That's exactly what happened to me. I got behind on one issue and then I wound up just unintentionally forgetting about it. I mean, I KNOW it's coming out but I'm way behind on it and I always just kind of forget to catch up. I really did enjoy it while I was reading it regularly though.
