Been a while since I've written, but this book made me. haha!
I know a lot of us have said a lot of stuff about how much we love this series over the last couple years, but with volume 5 as a "finale" of sorts I thought it bears some special commenting. When I first picked up volume 1 so long ago I had no idea it would turn into the ride (no pun intended) that it became. These characters and their story has been such a fantastic experience. I've read a lot of books (comics or otherwise) in my time and I don't think any of them got under my skin like this. At the beginning of volume 5 I was actually worried about how it would end, even though I knew how it ended from the teaser back in one of the earlier volumes! Bob was absolutely right in his review: it is really easy to forget that you know how it ends and it is very easy to worry for Lisa and Ally!
Each of Lisa's stories had me in tears, the end had me in tears, the postscript by Stjepan had me in tears... I'm lucky I didn't ruin my copy of the book!
this series is a must read, and even though I'm sure it will take years I will eagerly anticipate each new entry as Mercy and Jasper come along.
And Bob, that review was a great send-off for the series. Every point well said!
