Well Batman #27 and All-New X-Men #22 were great this week! Hawkguy #16 was also good, although I believe many references flew over my head....lol. Ohh and Justice League #27, finally we are seeing Cyborg in action and show why he is a bad-ass (plus a nice nod to the "classic" Doom Patrol team about to be formed).

What did you guys think of Harley Quinn #2? Didn't read it. Why? As for me, my books of the week were Black Widow #2, All New X-Factor #2 and Hawkeye #16.

I haven't read through all of mine yet, but Black Widow 2 and Batman 27 were pretty good. I also am really enjoying Dead Body Road #2. I might update this post for Deadly Class though, because I've been waiting for forever for this series to start.

What did you guys think of Harley Quinn #2? just finished it - and I rather enjoyed it. the art-style is great, and Harley's new 52 costume doesn't bug me as much as thought it would. the tone of the book has been judged quite nicely; it has the right sense of manic fun appropriate to the character. however, if the plot doesn't start to go somewhere interesting soon, I probably won't keep the book up for much longer. I can see myself getting bored quite quickly if it just keeps plodding along as it is currently. puppy rescue and corpse disposal are great and all, but I need a little more! as for the rest of this weeks books - batman #27 was great, and avengers #25 and avengers world #2 made me very happy. I love how hickman is intertwining the plot threads of all his avengers books. there's a really satisfying sense of a jigsaw being put together slowly - can't wait to see where it goes! now, back to the pile. there's more books to get through!

Pretty Deadly #4 was probably book of the week for me. The story is really coming together and Emma Rios art is breathtakingly gorgeous. Wonder woman #27 continued to be awesome, I would say it's been the best book of the New 52. Batman was great again. Harley was ok, it's the sort of book I need to be in the right mood for so I'll probably read it again at some point.

A good week, lots to enjoy. Some highlights:
Hawkeye #16: A Kate issue, and one of my favourites of the run so far (which is saying a lot!). This was one of the most touching stories I've read in mainstream comics in some time, really highly recommended.
Mighty Avengers #5: Apparantly an Inhumanity tie-in, although if that wasn't printed on the cover you'd hardly know it... The writing is really witty, all of the many characters show real personality (despite facial expressions that bear almost no relation to what they're doing or saying). Very highly recommended for Al Ewing's writing and (trying to stay positive) Greg Land's art did not actually make my eyes bleed.
Avengers #25: This new arc is building nicely, recommended. Not saying any more due to the lack of spoiler tags!
Uber #9: I was late picking up on this, but read #0-5 in collection and found I enjoyed it far more than I expected to. So far some interesting thoughts on the militarisation of superhumans - a very long way from using the Spear of Destiny to side-step the issue!

So far my book of the week goes to Wolverine and the X-men, we got some really good dialogue between Wolverine and Cyclops. Also the series is moving toward refocusing on the students, which will help with the transition to Volume 2.

This week i really enjoyed Harley Quinn #2 and I also read a few older trades. I finally got around to reading The Killing Joke (amazing) and X-Men Exogenetic by Warren Ellis and I really liked that too.

I didn't know this when I hit the store this week, but the .NOW books include digital codes for the first volume of that series (for example, the code for All-New X-Men 22 included All-New X-Men Vol 1: Yesterday's X-Men). This is nuts, I probably would have picked up a few other .NOW books if I knew this, so I figured I'd let you know in case you didn't, either.
EDIT: I see Thunderbolts is the only other .NOW branded book this week.

What did you guys think of Harley Quinn #2? Heyo, I'm really torn so far about this series. I've been reading Suicide Squad since this particular run started and I absolutely love Harley Quinn in that book. I love the way she is drawn, her mannerisms, trying to figure out what motivates her, and the back story you get in that series on her. In her own title though...well I'm going to keep up the book to see if its going to go anywhere, but so far I'm not really loving it. More like a lukewarm like. I'm not a fan of her new costume for one thing, though the rest of the art is alright with me. I don't like the whole beaver thing, it wore out it's welcome the first time it was mentioned(and really it was only ever funny when I was a teenager watching The Naked Gun). The fact that the writer keeps coming back to involve the beaver in the story just seems as though they've already run out of ideas. Clearly that can't be the case as it's only on issue #2 so I'm going to give it a few more issues to find it's footing. I think writing a funny, quirky, and engaging character has got to be one of the toughest character types to write for. IMO they just aren't there yet. - Beau

Batman was great, as usual. I really liked Avengers #25--it was sarcastically passing itself off as an All-New X-Men clone, but the way Hickman does it really throws that whole concept for a loop. It ties in with New Avengers very well, and it spins the "Avengers World" concept around in a really cool way. Salvador Larroca's art is awesome (although I must say, his best work is in the faces, and many of the characters in this book are masked).
FF was an excellent, excellent ending to the series. This issue and the last returned to the quality that many of Matt Fraction's solo-written issues have. I like to think of FF as a one-off, out of continuity story, because that's when it starts to get a little weak--when it tries to contextualize itself. Parts of Scott's speech ("Because everyone knows the Ant can't, right?"). The only issue I have is that I don't agree with Lee Allred's interpretation of Doom, which is a lot like that of Mark Waid. I'm one of those people who prefers the regal, pseudo-honorable Doom that writers like Jonathan Hickman prefer. But, again, if I treat it as non-canonical (and there's practically nothing binding it so that it would be), it doesn't influence my enjoyment much.
I thought Avengers World #2 was pretty good, better than the mediocre reviews it's been getting. It was really funny, and it's following through with the A.I.M. subplots very well. Stefano Casseli's artwork was gorgeous. Plus, I'm a sucker for Smasher and her grandpa.
All-New Invaders #1 was decent. The story has me intrigued, and I like those characters, so I'll stick with it, but some of the dialogue was way off. Besides a ton of issues with punctuation (there are so many instances when commas are desperately needed), I feel that Robinson doesn't have a good grasp on how the Kree should talk. I noticed it a lot in the Point One issue as well: a lot of the Kree speak in phrases that an everyday person would say, which is way more casual than the Kree would ever be. They've got a very utilitarian and military-fuelled society, so they speak in a very technical way--no contractions, no common idioms, and certainly not "I was here when we fought the Skrulls a while back" or "everything in this stupid place."

Well my book of the week was a Comic called Escape from Jesus Island, an independently published book. This book had hands down the darkest a prettiest art I've ever seen. The story involves a company with promises to clone a lost pet, which they give you the best possible clone of that pet. But they may make 100 bad copies and one good one. Typical PETA type exposure comes next, followed by a round of "let's clone Jesus, that can't go wrong!" If you can get your hands on a copy of this, I highly recommend this one.
Other stand outs:
Pretty deadly, best art of the series yet.
Justice league 27, the cyborg is a badass issue we've all been waiting for.
Walking dead, if your interest had been waning, these last three issues are breathing new life into the series.

Deadly class is awesome! I suggest everyone who's into punk rock/kill bill type stuff pick this up. I really liked the first issue and how the main character was kind of like a homeless Harry Potter.
I still haven't got around to Pretty Deadly #4 yet, because I have been really busy the past couple days, but I'm sure it will be good as always. Harley Quinn surprised me yet again. Beautiful art in this issue. Next month can't come soon enough.
Also All New X-Men was great this week. It made me decide to pick up Guardians Of the Galaxy (which is weird because I've never read it and I don't really do crossover events).

The Unwritten (Vol 2): Apocalypse #1 was my book of the week, this week it was tight between this and All New Invaders #1 but The Unwritten is such a quality read, great to see it come back on the strong form it bowed out with. This issue seemed to play with all the things that made the first volume so good. The last page reveal was a shocker too, despite the name of the series! The golden age style of James Robinson done in the mighty Marvel manner was great I thought, the last few outings for The Invaders have been pretty well handled but this opening issue was fantastic - Pugh's art really shone through too, he seems a lot better suited to this than Animal Man. I'm really anticipating the next issues of both Unwritten and All New Invaders - promising openings from both titles.
