I enjoyed the Jedi Academy Trilogy by Kevin J Anderson back in the day. It ended up leading to a great comic from Dark Horse called Knights of the Old Republic I think. This series followed the character of Nomi Sunrider and featured the Qel-Droma brothers and Exar Kun from the Anderson books.
Later on Dark Horse put another Knights of the Old Republic book that followed a failing padawan named Zayne Carrick. This was a fun series that may have been overshadowed by the Star Wars Legacy series.

I finished Dark Disciple on the plan last night. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to more Canon content. Now I'm on to the first of the Timothy Zahn books.

Dark Disciple has my favorite jedi Quinlan Vos, the coolest jedi in the galaxy.

I'm 20 something chapters in to Hair to the Empire and really like having the original characters. Han is such a cool dude I think I would just read his stories. I'm disappointed in how little Leia is really involved. I like how in the movies Han and Leia have goes at each other and joking around but in this book she just seems quiet and sad. She is just doing whatever everyone else tells her to.

Im 1/2 way thru Legacy of the Force Fury. A few very good friends got me the whole aidio book library of Star Wars. So I'm going to start at the beginning very soon. I'll be providing updates here!

I'm still on Razor's Edge, though I think I might put it on pause to read the Battlefront Twilight Company book. Mara, I just started reading Battlefront Twilight Company and I'm really enjoying it. It's the war against the Empire from the Rebel "grunts" point of view. I really hope they take this approach for the Rogue One movie. if you like Princess Leia, The Courtship of Princess Leia and Tatooine Ghost were fun reads. |

older comics: Dark Empire, Clone Wars (multiple volumes), Marvel's omnibi of their 70s comics, John Ostrander and Jan Duursema's Legacy series
new canon novels: Lost Stars, Dark Discipline, Kenobi, Weapon of a Jedi, Smuggler's Run
