Alright our great comics community, I need a little help. I do a horror related Top 31 list for Oct every year (previous years has been Horror/metal crossovers, best horror movies you've never seen, etc.). This year I want to do my favorite all time horror comics, I feel like I'm missing some, so here is my tentative pool thus far, what am I missing folks Nailbiter Tomb of Dracula Werewolf by night Hell raiser new Journey into mystery Weird war tales House of mystery House of secrets Ghosts Ghost'd Weird western tales 30 days of night Interview with a vampire Supernatural thrillers Creepy Eerie Tales from the crypt Helblazer Hellboy Walking dead Harrow County Locke & Key Swamp thing Twilight Zone Boris Karloff Crime Suspense Stories Colder Wytches Haunt of Fear

Wamphari, You beat me to the "Vault"! (Even though it's not "pure" horror, I think you could include EC's Shock Suspenstories, too!) Sammie, I would also like to add Skywald's 70's "Horror-Mood" mags Psycho, Scream, and Nightmare, where-in editor/writer Al Hewetson adapted Poe and Lovecraft, as welll as crafting the well-remembered original series The Saga of the Victims . (I wrote a short essay about Horror comics some while back, which if you'd like, you can find here! )

How about Johnny the Homicidal Maniac? Definitely has the slasher feel from horror films.

A couple of others to add:
Outcast (Kirkman and Azaceta do exorcism - a really good book) Providence (Moore does Lovecraft - good stuff) Fatale (OK, it spans more than one genre but there's certainly some horror in there) Crossed +100 (there are a few good arcs of Crossed available too among the dross, but +100 is really good)
The first couple of arcs of Sandman read a lot like a horror story too, although it move away from that largely for the rest of the run to my mind.

I know this is late now, but I highly recommend checking out The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Maybe next year!

Don't think I saw Wolf Moon on the list, a different take on the werewolf genre. Maybe Big Man Plans? Some might say its not strictly horror but some ultra violence.
