What does everyone think of the show from The Stash?
I'm of the understanding that it is none too popular with a lot of comic book fans but as a watcher of the show, I'm a little confused by the negativity as the guys on the show talk about the subject with knowledge and passion. Obviously it's at the mercy of the reality show format but there have been some great episodes.

I hate reality shows, I wish they'd all just go away. With that said though I love Kevin Smith, he's one of my favorite people in Hollywood and I'll watch pretty much anything he's involved with so I gave this a shot. I still watch it and don't really have anything against it.
The guys seem like they know their stuff even though Walt is a low balling cheap bastard lol. I'd say its my guilty pleasure show.

I like Kevin Smith, don't like reality shows.Tried a few episodes but its not for me. But read his work on Daredevil(Guardian Devil) which i thought was good and listen to his podcasts which most of the time are really entertaining(listening to the latest Fatman on Batman right now).

I love this show. I was almost no tv at all, but my wife saw this on netflix and suggested we give it a shot because she likes to try and find stuff that I'll sit and watch with her. I thought it was great! I love how much knowledge and passion Walt and the crew have. Having listened to Kevin Smith's meeting on the podcast and him talking about the format of the show and how he has to give in and deal with network bull but how in the newer seasons he's really attempting to tone it down and focusing on the crew and in store transactions is ideal. This show also made me curious enough to start listening to Fatman on Batman which is very enjoyable because it's rare to experience someone being that passionate about something, all of the laughs and the awkward crying is great. In turn that podcast ended up getting me interested in the batman comic Kevin and Walt worked as well, which I enjoyed.

Kevin's podcasts are amazing, I listen to them all weekly at work. Just recently went to Hollywood Babble-On with him and Ralph Garman, was absolutely hilarious.

I think a lot of LCS were not crazy about it because people started coming to their shops trying to sell their stuff, which on the show they do buy some crazy items. Most LCS's don't really have the same support as the comic shop on Comic Book Men, so they don't buy those types of items. On the other hand LCS's need to take advantage of the publicity, when the show is bringing more people into your shop you should be trying to convert those people into sales.

Great to hear the enthusiasm for the show and for Kevin Smith's work in general.

Guess there were too many requests for Kev's Bane and Ralphs Adam West Batman.

I watched the first two seasons on netflix. Its a nice little show if you're into comics, which we all are. Its something thats good to have on as background noise if you're doing other things like laundry or something.

I grew up on the works of Kevin Smith so one of the first podcasts I ever listened to was Tell Em Steve Dave. I was addicted to that podcast and listened to it every time there was a new episode. When I saw that the team (minus a few people) would be getting together to do a show about the Stash (and to a degree comics in general) I was excited. It's not the best show in the world, but I've enjoyed it for the most part. Good filler for when you're bored at 2 in the morning.

For anyone who's a fan of the Bat the new episode of Fatman on Batman is probably one of the best episodes I've listened to. Opens your eyes as to who the real uncredited creator of the Dark Knight is.

Opens your eyes as to who the real uncredited creator of the Dark Knight is. I was just thinking about that episode, listened to it yesterday and i agree that it was one of best.Really interesting! And if its true that the guy really created so much of the Batman world its a real shame that he doesn't get the credit.

I love comic book men, like a lot of people I grew up on Kevin Smith films, and it's through his podcasts I got into comics. Been a huge fan of the tell em steve dave podcast since it started, so was great seeing the dynamic they have on tv. I know a lot of people moan about it being set up and not like a real comic shop, but let's be honest, how entertaining would the show be if it was a run of the mill comic shop? The latest Neil Adams fatman on batman episodes have surpassed the Grant Morrison ones in my opinion.

Neal is the man.
