Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! You guys! I just saw this and right now I've got the biggest smile on my face.
Thank you and I appreciate each and every one of you sounding off here to wish me a happy birthday.
My birthday was incredible this year, and that's putting it mildly.
Gifts included but were not limited to:
A surprise trip to Niagara Falls (the Canadian side) with my lovely girlfriend, Brownwyn
A party with friends that included heated rounds of Super Mario 3D World and gourmet pancakes with BACON JAM!!!! That's right, BACON JAM, y'all!
A stupid amount of money from family that I am very appreciative and thankful for - it will help with some of what I have planned for this year.
A trip with my mother to her favorite salon where I was pampered beyond belief. And yes, I did get a mani/pedi and yes, I did allow them to paint my nails. It's something I've never grown out of from my high school days and still rather enjoy.
Also ... as if things were not amazing enough already - I was recently sent to Portland, Oregon on a work related trip to Laika/house Studios to tour the set of their latest stop-motion animated film, The Boxtrolls. Due to an embargo I cannot give you the details of my trip just yet - but you can read all about it when my coverage is posted closer to the film's release.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd ... I spent a lovely evening in the company of Mr. Bob Reyer, our dear friend Lauren Kolligs, and my other, other half Brendan Thompson. We binged on pizza, beer, irish coffee, and Godzilla!
All in all, it's the best birthday I've had in ages and I'm looking forward to 2014 in the biggest way possible. Great things are abound!
Cheers and thank you once again for your wishes!
