It's not my favorite book, but it's pretty close. Like everyone's said, the Malekith arc was a step down, but I have a feeling it was written in order to tie in with the movie, not at Aaron's behest. I'm beyond psyched for Ribic to come back on, and the next arc looks great.

I am a big fan of what Aaron has brought to one of my favorite characters. But he did give me a case of the feels in the issue between the God Killer/Bomb story arc and the Accursed arc with the whole Jane Foster thing....oh the feels.....

I really wish they would've used this issue to launch into the story arc that is coming up now, instead of wasting it on segwaying into Malikith.

So I like the issue be cause it was a good "down" issue. It was a calm issue that delivered the feels. I do agree that it shouldn't have segwayed in to the Malikith story but I think it should have just been its own thing and not led into anything. Just a good single issue you know?

I hope he makes the "down issue" a between-arc tradition. Issue 6 featuring the origin of Gorr served a similar purpose. While it was not as good as the awesome issue 12, it was still an enjoyable break.

Issue 18 was another great down issue. Tons of fun, gorgeous art and lots of vomit. They should definitely get this artist to do more young Thor stories. All and all a drunken good time. Can't wait for the next arc!

Marvel has recently released Daredevil, Hawkeye, and Superior Spider-Man in the oversized HC format. There's one of Deadpool on the way, too. I'd also like to echo the praises of this title. The God Butcher / Godbomb storyline is a fun, epic adventure.

18 was another great divider episode between the previous arc and the next . Aaron is super smart and awesome for making these one shot divider issues that have been turning out to be some of the most memorable single issues.

It's definitely one of Marvel's best books, probably THE best during the God Bomb arc. And after that masterpiece, issue #12 was just a fill in issue (with the amazing Nic Klein on art) and it had more heart and sense of wonder than anything I've read in a long time. Basically, those first 12 issues made Thor one of my favorite characters and made Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic two creators I will follow anywhere. I agree the Accursed arc that followed was not as good but the bar had been set very high. Ribic is returning soon and I expect the glory of those first two arcs will as well. Thor has always been my favorite character, but this new series by Jason Aaron has been absolutely amazing. Issue #12 was the first comic in years that actually moved me. I've been looking for a description for it and you nailed it beautifully...it had HEART!!!

I just finished reading issue 19 and this new arc is off to a really promising start. First off, so glad to see Esad Ribic's art back on the book. I actually liked Garney's art in that kind of disappointing Malekith story, but this really feels like Ribic's book. I like that they are continuing to develop Thor's relationship with the rookie SHIELD agent(also love her conversations with Coulson) and they're setting up an interesting conflict between Thor and this evil CEO. I'm also really looking forward to seeing more of Old King Thor especially after that last page reveal. Great stuff and I hope to see the book be as good as it was when it first started.
