I had to share my thoughts on THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES. I started buying comics in 1976. Read pretty much nonstop until around 2001. First I'd been a regular reader of Superman but was pretty bored. I finished an issue where he was in therapy. Nothing wrong with that but the issue was so boring. Then I picked up the first issue of DARK KNIGHT STRIKES. I could probably stand to read it again but at the time, I thought it was awful. I gave up comics after that. I never thought I would. I pick up a trade every so often or get stuff at the library but never pick up monthlies. I blame Frank Miller for that. Lol!!!
I still keep up with comics though. Love the podcast!!! Keep up the great work!

I'm wondering is anyone reading They're not Like Us and/or Wayward? If so, I would love to hear anyone's thoughts. I read the first trade of Wayward and enjoyed it, although I haven't read any further yet. They're Not Like Us has been a bit of a mixed bag for me get I love the art, and the premise is interesting (essentially a plain-clothes X-ray who just want to be left alone by a world that hates and fears them rather than trying to save it). I'm not at all convinced that the writing is delivering on its promise so far, but I'll continue reading for the art alone. I agree on the art, it's wonderful. I'm enjoying the different take on " X-men" that Stephenson is doing... It's the non-superhero bit I find intriguing.
