I'm about two issues behind (as I am with pretty much most books on my pull) but I've been enjoying it. I started picking it up because it was one of two 2.99 Avengers titles (Arena being the other) and I liked seeing a Runaway on the team, but it's actually turned into a charming little book. It's not perfect by any means, and the plot still has issues, but Humphries assured me that he has a lot of plans in the near future for the series and so that has me excited for the future of AI

Good to hear, man. I've been sticking with it too despite some issues with the writing... and the art hehe The hooks for me have been Pym's prominence, Vision being around a lot, and the Reprogrammed Doombot is a stroke of genius. That Doombot may be the sole reason I'm still buying it week to week. That and the promise of Hickman getting more involved.
Thanks for the input. I picked it up because it was a cheaper book too, and the concept is really promising.
Being new to the obscure parts of Marvel I was never exposed to the Runaways but got some backstory for Victor Chase in Age Of Ultron. I read New Avengers too so this is a nicely juxtaposed book for it's lighter tone.

Despite his flaws, and sometimes questionable moral choices, I really do love Hank Pym and seeing him lead a team is awesome. I agree on the Doombot as well, he adds some much needed levity to the sometimes dramatic nature of the events surrounding the book. Not that the book is a serious one by any means, but his grouchy nature really helps.
Yeah if you ever get the chance to, Runaways is definitely a great book. Victor is a fantastic character in it and his characterization has translated well into AI. It's nice to see the Runaways getting some exposure despite no longer having their own book.

I've been keeping up with this book and I have to say I'm still undecided on how I feel about it overall. I hate that this is really the only book that contains the Vision currently, and really Hank Pym doesn't show up in other books too often either. I must admit though, Doom Bot is pretty much the best character in the series even if he is there for comic relief alone.

I read the first few issues and I thought that doombot was hysterical. The rest of it I couldn't get into. I'll prob read the first trade when it comes along

It's one of my favorite series but I'll be the first to admit it's not for everyone. I like it when a creator finds a part of the Marvel universe no one else is playing in and just goes nuts with it. Humphries and Araujo seem very simpatico and I think they are both having a lot of fun with this book. Vision is the true star more than Pym I think but yeah, Doombot totally steals the show. For anyone whose not reading, if you want something well off the beaten path you should give this book a try.

Great to hear from more people. Seems like everyone has the same problems with it and those that are staying with it are so out of duty to the characters.
Personally I'd like them to get through this Dimitrios storyline already.
The solicits promise a Hickman/Ribic arch or issue in March. Must just be a short run but that would be a dream team.

Yeah, I'm pretty bored with the Dimitrios story, I really want to see what is going to come next.

The Original Six idea is a good one, and the Inhumanity tie-in gave us a little glimpse in to Doombot's underlying motivation. Showing promise.

I will pick up almost anything with Pym, that being said, I can't agree more with everyone about the love of doombot. I am pretty interested in seeing how this "AI have rights too" thing is going to play out, but am getting kind of bored with Dimitrios.

I'm enjoying seeing the sweeping Doombot joy from everyone.

I'm enjoying seeing the sweeping Doombot joy from everyone. Doombot rejects all joy.

The story has it's problems but I'm intrigued to see where everything goes, especially given the time jump and the Avengers jumping into the Diamond. Lots of potential here.
