I was wondering with Marvel recently announcing the titles that will have "Last Days" in there name most notably Ms.Marvel. What do you think that means for the series? I was thinking it meant something along the lines of Marvel just putting these books on hiatus until after Secret Wars and these characters are picking up the pieces of what has happened over the course of this major event or does it mean that it is the kind way of saying the books "will be canceled" silently. If that is the case that would be disheartening because Ms. Marvel and Captain America and the Mighty Avengers were top of the line books. What does everyone else think or if you could clarify that would also be amazing.

G Willow Wilson clarified that Ms.M is not being cancelled & the Last Days tag is just leading into Secret Wars.
That isn't to say some books won't be dropped or modified coming out of the wvent but that one is safe.
Thankfully.

I think something like Black Widow or Punisher may end their run during it, but Ms Marvel is too successful. it seems like the Last Days moniker is for solo titles that are more 'street' based, Loki aside.

The list of titles that are "ending" has been released. comicbook.com/2015/03/18/marvels-david-gabriel-clarifies-secret-wars-plans-hints-at-what-/ Ms Marvel ISN'T on the list. (Captain M is, though) Undoubtedly some will return post-Secret Wars. I must admit I am confused by the entire thing. I need some crosswalks ie "if you are currently reading THIS, now you should read THAT. Marvel isn't making it easy for readers who aren't fully steeped in the MU.

I believe books not listed there will continue their run through Secret Wars. The ones listed will be on hiatus during Secret Wars. Things like Thor and Captain America will be back, but Cap, for example, will have a new artist with it.

in that interview marvel insists they are making it as easy as possible for retailers and readers. Then go on to describe calculus level problems, and expect people to follow on. The more I read, the more I'm turned off by this entire thing. We shouldn't need one of those string boards the question uses just to follow what this event is doing.

Yeah I hate to be a wet blanket, but everything secret wars is making it very easy for me to justify leaving the marvel books I do get entirely.
Rocket raccoon is on the block, and if it's gone for 6 months I might not care when it comes back.
Spider man 2099 is turning into an avengers 2099 book (basically) and while I like Peter David, I'm just not interested in what they're doing.
the whole thing is so damn confusing without a clear roadmap of what titles to follow I don't even want to try to figure it out.

For me it has been very clear what they are doing....but that is just me.
About The Last Days books (Ms.Marvel, Silver Surfer, Punisher, Loki: AOA, Black Widow, Magneto and Mighty Avengers) their runs will continue during Secret Wars, just that the arcs happening during it are tied since they are dealing with how the characters react to the Last Incursion (which is happening during the final issues of Avengers/New Avengers and Secret Wars #1) and in the case of Silver Surfer it will actually deal with what happens to space AFTER the Last Incursion. Ohh, and Ultimate End pretty much is a mini dealing with the same thing just from the Ultimate Universe point of view.
Since there is something called "All-New Marvel" in September (per Previews) and Secret Wars (the main book) would be ending by August, it is the favorite theory that whatever is coming out of this event is happening that month and either the books in the Last Days banner will end in August OR will continue reflecting the changes to the universe (also whether they get a new #1 or not is anyone's guess at this point).

But is he wrapping up his RUN on BW (say it ain't so!!!) or is it just the STORY. It is so damn unclear. I even waded into the comments to see of the hivemind knew & it seems like folks there are uncertain. I just want Noto to draw Black Widow forever. I don't even care if there is a story. I'd pay the $4 a pop for 20 pages of art from him every month.

I forgot there even was a Deathlok book out. I've heard literally nothing about it.

to me it was fairly clear that he's done with both BW and Punisher after Secret Wars.
I agree about Noto. In the modern era of artists being rotated in and out, books like Punisher and Black Widow have been amazing to have the creative teams stick together and create a thematically consistent story through the words and pictures.
Deathlok was the book of Edmonson's that I just couldnt get into. I think it's falling like a rock, sales-wise.

I totally agree about Noto drawing Natasha forever. It'll be difficult to get used to anyone else drawing her after this. I assume that there will be another BW book after SW given her exposure in the movie universe, just anxious about who the creative team might be.

At the beginning of BW I really liked it, but I found myself bored very fast. But each issue got better and better. The current issues are so much better than the first few (I'm not saying they are bad, they are still beautiful).
