We haven't had one of these since way back in 2014, looks like, in the Beforetimes of The Long-long Ago? How can that be! So let's do a two-fer, yeah? What're your favorite issues from these first two weeks of February? There's been some fantastic stuff this month, already. Do it to it.
(For myself, I'm gonna ponder this on my bike ride, momentarily; to be continued)

I only read Southern Bastards #7 and Secret Six #2 this week.
Southern Bastards is still great and still one of my favourite books, but i'm at the point where i want the story to move forward. The last three or four issues were all about Coach Boss and his past, which is interesting and all, but i'm a lot more interested to see what happens after issue 4, so i'm hoping we're going to get to that soon.
Secret Six really surpirised me this week. The first issue was good, but i liked this one a whole lot more. The story and the characters got a bit more interesting, and even though there was a page or two where the art felt rushed i thought the art was better than in the first issue.I will definitely keep reading this.
I read a lot last week, but the latest issue of American Vampire was my favourite. It continued the Gray Trader story, it answered a few questions, it had the return of a old character, and Alberquerque's art is still amazing.

2/4: going with Birthright #5 (Image) by Joshua Williamson and Andrei Bressan. this was a cool wrap to the first arc, and the reveal on the last page jut felt epic for me. This series keeps getting cooler and cooler. not sure what else I can say about this book.
2/11: didn't have much on my list this week, but just for shits and grins I picked up Cluster #1 (Boom!) by Ed Brisson, Damian Couceiro and Michael Garland, since it was on Steve's (I think) list on the podcast this week. there is a great story in the making here. the art was pretty good and I definitely got the feeling there is a whole world/universe already built here that reminds of me the first time I saw star wars: this is "used" space; even though we are just being introduced it's obvious this place has had stuff going on for a while.

Thor 5 was fantastic. My favorite this month so far. Grayson is getting to be the most consistent book out there for me. I'll be back with a few more

shit, I forgot to come back and post in here, didn't I!
2/4: Has to go to Saga and East of West in a tie that surprises no-one at all. From the start, I've had a tough time seperating between these two which is better and/or which I love more, and here we are a fair ways in and they're still both 11 out of 10's, for me, and only getting better. And East of West even had some humor in it this time out! All the love for maybe the two best books going.
2/11: Thor continues to be really good, and this arc of Cap Marvel continues to feel and read exactly the way I've wanted Kelly Sue's Carol to read this whole time, but the hyper-kinetic whirlwind that is Shutter has to take the cake. I'm not entirely sure what's happening, and I have no clue at all where it's going, and I wouldn't have it any other way. #CookiesFixEverything

I forgot about captain marvel. To be honest, I'm really over the flerken cat stuff. Love the art, tired of the story. Idk it's just not doing it for me. I will keep buying it tho, in hopes that the story opens up more. And I prefer carol on earth. So I really hope I get more of that. I have faith that it will pick up
