Hey guys,
was just wondering if you would consider having time codes in the show notes for the podcast. I love listening but sometimes I have to skip through things I haven't read or watched yet (tv shows are the worst for this as in the UK we are usually several weeks behind on shows like Arrow,Flash, Agent Carter etc.
I also think that it could help people remember books that people mention and go back to those parts easily.
Anyway just something for the suggestion box. The show still rocks.

It's a suggestion we get every once in a while. I don't disagree with your points, but the reality is that I order to get the show out when we do I basically go right from recording for 3 hours, to editing, to uploading and to posting. By the time that's all done it's usually around 1AM.
As you probably know this is not a paying gig and I need to wake up in the AM for work. So, it's just not feasible for me to do right now. However I will take it under advisement and try to make time for it in the future. I appreciate the feedback and the kind words! :-)

i know from a lot of other podcasts that the timestamps are made by the community.
so maybe there are some people willing to do this regularly. i mostly listen to the podcast on commute but if we find some other people and rotate every week i would definitely volunteer.
thing is of course that the timestamps would come in late, but thats better than never i guess. ill try to do it next week

COPRA mention!
Really excited for Spider-Man and I think they'll get the origin out of the way. It's something so ingrained in society that I don't think they'll feel hte need to do too much rehash. Heck, his entire origin in the comics can be done in TWO pages, if not less. You get a stinger in Ant-Man, you shove him in another stinger for Avengers 2, and then you integrate him into Cap 3 and voila, he's a full-fledged character with him already ready to fight some villains in his own movie.

I was able to explain Miles Morales to someone who asked me who he was and why he was Spider-Man. So that's a cool thing that came out of this. He said it would be cool to see him in the movies; a new fan!

Woot! Shout-out for sunstone! Troy, I found Sunstone to be a beautifully drawn book, and even considering the subject matter, it was a story told by Mr. Sejic with heart and humour; moreover, in a tale about "control", the two leads, Ally and Lisa, were characters with much agency, in command of their own decisions about their lives, relationships, and sexuality. An interesting side-bar was that, for me at least, despite the backdrop that this was set against (or perhaps because of it being intended for adults!), I found the more-adult imagery here less troublesome than the broke-back Escher Girls who continue to populate far too many super-hero comics. (Yes, Mr. Finch, I'm looking at you!) Of course, it's about how the images are received by the individual reader, but at least to me, there didn't seem to be any attempt at salaciousness, but instead a good-natured sensuality. Who'd-a-thunk that your Cranky Old Uncle Bob would be on the Forum discussing an OGN about B&D? (Robert, considering that you've discussed your appreciation of Adam Warren's Empowered in these pages, your readers may begin to think you've a dungeon in your basement, darling! @udrey)

agreed! I mentioned this in a thread in our image board, but I had picked it up kind of as a laugh just to see what was inside and was really surprised to find a lot more character and story (not to mention the characters and story were very well developed) in what I had assumed was going to be more or less a softcore porn comic. Everything was so tastefully done though (a prime example being no unearthly contortions to accentuate their lady parts) that by the end I realized it was actually a very good romantic comedy for an adult audience. oh man, and the art was so fantastic!
If I could say one thing to other readers, it would be "don't be put off by (or be afraid of) the BDSM subject matter; there is so much great story and artwork here!"
I (and I'm sure the other champions of Mr. Sejic) am so glad you enjoyed it!

With regards to the rumor of John Diggle being John Stewart on Arrow, I went to a Q&A panel with David Ramsey last December and he addressed those rumors. He didn't give away anything except to say that he would love to do it and encouraged the fans to write to the creators of Arrow on Twitter and voice those opinions. However, the one bit I did find interesting is that he said that if he were to get a Lantern ring, it could potentially "break" the show. Think about it. Why would Oliver need to waste his time to take down someone like Slade or Vertigo if Diggle could just conjure something from his mind to stop them instead? As much as I would love Diggle to do more on the show, I think overpowering him would eliminate the need for him to be on a show like Arrow, which is much more street-level.

Troy, The element that sold me the most on Sunstone might have been the amazing range of facial expression rendered by Mr. Sejic, as they certainly put over the playful nature of the characters' interaction, as well as making plainly evident their internal struggles and qualms. (I've just been sent an interesting link to a hilarious piece on The Mary Sue that fans of Stjepan Sejic might want to check out!)

Who says diggle will be a master right away? If i got a lantern ring, i think it would take years to master. Also, who says they can't put limits to the ring? I think they could do it in a way where it isn't the answer to every single problem...... Maybe make it vulnerable to wood? lol or make it not able to affect anything yellow? Even robins cape! lmao!!!!

Diggle wouldn't be a master right away I'm sure, but I assume he would still need to travel to Oa or at the very least outer space in order to be properly trained; either way I can't see Arrow having the resources to shoot any such scenes. I think they could ground GL to be a more street-level hero but that would be seriously taking away from the character a lot.

I would assume he's become the character and then get his own show!
