Thanks for reading some of my Best Of suggestions, guys!! Sorry I put Pretty Deadly #1 on there; I thought i'd checked the dates on everything I listed, but clearly I missed one; since amended and rectified. Can't wait to hear the proper nomination and selection shows; they're always some of my favorites of the year. : )
Also, Men In Black 2 and 3 were delightful, how dare you.
Finally, I was really happy to hear that you all liked Ody-C #1 as much as I did. It seems to be a divisive book, to say the least! Not only did three of the four people i've chatted up at the shop in the last few days express disappointment and make sour faces, but the thread on here is also full of similar stormclouds, and while everyone is very much entitled to their own opinion -as always and forever- still, it's gratifying to hear from the other side of the coin. I'm not surprised that it's not for everyone, but I am very, very surprised at the ratio of thumbs-up to thumbs-down thusfar. I would've expected the artwork alone to win over a goodly portion of the intended crowd; stunning stuff. And the narration so closely matches the Homeric style; I guess I just don't know what people were expecting, is all. Anyways, love hearing that i'm not the only one who dug it.

Hey Bob, I was reading Doc Savage: Man of Bronze myself. I am working on a long term comic project that features a Doc Savage/Tom Strong type character and so I have been trying to consume all the Doc Savage material I can to make sure I am not stepping on toes. Specifically to Bob, I know you are a fan of King Kong, have you read or are familiar with the novel Doc Savage: Skull Island by Will Murray? I finished that a few months back and really enjoyed it.

You guys, I have no idea what Southern Bastards is about, but after all of the praise it got on this episode I went out and bought the trade. Here's hoping it's as awesome as everyone said!

Jamie, I have to admit that I've not heard of "Doc Savage: Skull Island" until your posting, but I think that it's something I'm going to have to own! Thanks for the tip!
