As part of the Batman Eternal sale currently running, it looks like Comixology has the Stephanie Brown Batgirl issues on sale. I'm not real familiar with that incarnation of Batgirl, though I know who Stephanie is. Is that series worth getting? Are there standout issues I should get that are more essential?
Thanks!

I think I speak for everyone when I say: YES. It's incredible. I personally love it way more than the Gail Simone run. It's a lot of fun but super well written. It has one of my favourite pages as well, Stephanie Brown explaining the history of the Robins in cartoons on a whiteboard. Sums it up pretty well. Also in terms of any single issue, it's better to read the whole series. The trades are mostly out of print I think. If you want a good lead in to this series, Robin: Violent Tendencies tradepaperback is really great. A team up of Tim and Steph

I just recently learned that Stephanie was Batgirl at all. Wasn't she also Robin at some point previous to that? I just always knew her as Spoiler back in the old days.

Yeah she became Robin during the War Drums/War Games Bat-event (which is also a good read, re-read it recently) for a brief time when Tim and Bruce had a falling out. I absolutely love the 90's Robin/Spoiler stories. I definitely recommend that Robin trade if you liked that because its written by Chuck Dixon again who created her so it feels like old times again.

I pretty much do only digital these days, and it looks like that Robin: Violent Tendencies trade isn't available that way. Although the individual Robin issues are (170-174?) but not the Robin/Spoiler Special.

Well the Robin issues are definitely worth the read, but if you ever find yourself going through longboxes or on ebay, the Robin/Spoiler special is still cheap. Its a lot of fun

I read the first ten issues, and i'm gonna read the whole run, i really like it! Not really impressed by the art, but the writing is amazing, and i love how much it features Oracle.
