Turkey Day is once again upon us and in between stuffing our faces with mashed potatoes, stuffing and maple bacon cupcakes we want to talk about what we are most thankful for in comics. SPOILER ALERT: It gets a little emotional.
We also of course talk books of the week which focuses most heavily on Wonder Woman #36, Multiversity: Pax Americana and Elektra, but we also dive in on Teen Titans: Earth One, Spider-Woman #1, Supergirl #36, Black Widow #12, Will O’ the Wisp, Inhuman, Fantastic Four, Avengers and more!

Annnnnnnnnnd… we say it on the show, but just in case you missed it, the Talking Comics crew on Twitter are:
Bobby: @bobbyshortle Stephanie: hellocookie Steve: @dead_anchoress And Bob’s email is bobreyer@talkingcomicbooks.com

Carolyn, We may have laid the foundation, but it's all you wonderful people who've built this home for all of us! (It may just be my ancient lap-top, but your lovely JSA image wasn't coming through, so I'll put it up here!)

Lenny, There isn't a day that goes by that I don't feel those things about all of you here in our family that I expressed on-air. It is truly an honor to be part of this enterprise.

Great episode, guys! I always like it when the topic of the show is going to be about positive things in the world of comics.Sure, i understand that can't always be the case but i like when it is, because there's so much to be thankful for, and those things often get overlooked. The things that i'm most thankful for(off the top of my head) are this great community, the non-superhero books from Image, Vertigo and Dark Horse, Ms. Marvel, Comixology(especially when there's a good sale)and the Marvel movies. Oh and Bob, i had tears in my eyes thanks to your emotional words, you can't do that to me anymore

Ah, so much love in this episode!
I was especially pleasantly surprised at the shout-out for my "Lady in a Comic Store" video. It put a spring in my step. But I mean it when I say that I appreciate all of you and everything you do to create a fun and safe space for awesome people to talk about awesome things. I cannot emphasise enough how important that is.
As Bob said, bringing a lump to my throat: "We're the kids who didn't sit with you at the lunch table, but we're here now."

Amy and "D",
I'm honored, and more than a bit humbled, that my small attempt at thanking all of you in this community seems to have struck such a chord.
Thank you so much!

Hello all,
I just wanted to join in on all the love and say how grateful I am for you guys and for this community you created. This was the year I got into comics, so I am thankful FOR comics.
And Bob, I was crying on the bus with what you said. I was getting choked up before but then you started talking and you really touched me heart. Thank you for that.

Maria, Every moment that I have the chance to interact with the people in our Talking Comics family is a positive one, no matter the circumstances before or after, which seems to be the unanimous opinion; so beyond my personal "thanks", they were also from all of us, to all of us!

I finally got a chance to listen to the podcast, and I wanted to add my words of thanks for the show and this community, which has been so welcoming. I'm also thankful for comics in general and the movies and T.V. spun out from them, through which I've made many friends. This year has been quite difficult. Recently my mom was diagnosed with advanced stage ovarian cancer. My father died in 2007, and the thought of losing her has been really hard to bear. The friends I have made through comics have been a huge part of helping me through it, and for those of you who follow me on Twitter I really appreciate the messages. Even though I haven't been able to post as much, just being able to check in on this forum from the hospital or after helping take care of my mom and take my mind off things for a while has been so helpful, not to mention the private messages and as the support I've gotten from the people at my local comic shop. Comics are more than just stories, they're a community of readers that at its best believes in hope and helping, and I'm so grateful to have that in my life right now. Thank you for being the best of comics.
