Man this Event is sweet. I usually despise Events I think they are a creatively bankrupt concept designed by committee to to temporary artificially increase sales. They are cancerous to the comic book community because they alienate new readers and create an incestuous environment.
All that being said, This Event is sweet. Unlike Garbage like Black Vortex or Original Sin this feels fresh and like something I have not read yet. The Main Book feels a bit like the Fire and Ice Series, while the tie-ins have a distinctive feel to them. Planet Hulk is a Conan Story in the Marvel Universe and Masters of Kung-Fu is like one of those old Jet Li Movies. One big negative tough Planet Hulk was 4,99 -.-

Read A-Force, Planet Hulk & Master of Kung Fu this week, all were great though Master of Kung Fu gets my pick as winner for feeling like a love letter to all the great 70's/80's martial movies of my youth! Had such a Drunken Master/Chamber of Shaolin vibe going, made me grin ear to ear

Glad to hear Masters of Kung Fu was good. I went back and picked it up today at lunch, and I can't wait to read it. I read A-force and it was a good beginning.
Question for you guys: Since Medusa was in A-Force and she will be a main character in Attilan Rising and crossing borders is strictly forbidden by Lord Doom, I'm assuming that there could be several different incarnations of certain characters. Did anyone else pick up on that or is it just me? If that's true, I wonder how that will all play out in the end?

I mean we see Wolverine in 2 or 3 books so far. But since Medusa seems to be unsatisfied with She-Hulks rule maybe Attilan rising will be on the same continent.

Just read my first stinker :-(. Spider Verse was kinda bad, it was to exposition heavy and the art was not great :-(

If I'm not mistaken Arcadia is an island and Attilan Rising is a mainland territory. As for the multiple character incarnations, I'm interested to see if there is any interaction between their different selves and how that plays out.

I would say, that I will go for one more issue but this one was 4,49€ which is faaaar too much for a mediocre 32 page comic. so I think I´ll have to pass and maybe read it once it is on MArvel Unlimited

I'm like you, I will be giving my wallet a break and reading the great majority of the tie-in books when the event is released on Unlimited. I've been reading a lot of the Marvel titles more and more through that App as opposed to buying everything.

I wouldn't call the spiderverse tie on a stinker but it was so so. Definitely not bad. I'm not sure if it has an linker on it, but it didn't seem like it. It seems to be a trend nowadays to not have an inker on books. Planet hulk as well, I'm not sure if it had an inker, but i really didn't like that aspect of the art.

some tie-ins couldn't wait. I blame Bobby, Steve, Bob and Steph for sparking my interest along with CaptainSuperior for leading us to cheap digital copies of marvel books picked up a digital copy of old man logan on he cheap and I have to say I dig the tone of that book. might have to keep getting those and am going to see if the old ones are on marvel U. This is one I think I will have to keep up with.

I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying the main Secret Wars title. I hadn't intended to pick it up but a review mentioned the Fantastic Four's involvement (I've been on an F4 binge lately) and now I'm intrigued. I'm really looking forward to where this may be going. As far as tie ins I plan on reading: Last Days of Black Widow, Captain Marvel & the Carol Corp, Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde, 1872, Civil Wars and House of M. I'll also be following up an a bunch of others in 6 months when they hit Marvel Unlimited.
I have to admit, this is the first event in a loooonnnnnnggggg time to pique my interest and I'm actually excited to see what the "new" universe is like this fall.
