So DC today announced that Robert Venditti and Van Jensen are co-writing with Brett Booth taking on art for Flash #30. And also they announced that Wally is coming back in the annual a week after issue #30. Oh and they released the cover for the annual which I believe is the new look Wally will be sporting. ![]()

That is an... interesting look to say the least. I look forward to seeing what Venditti can do with the character. And I hope we get some more Flash/Green Lantern with him doing both.

I have really been enjoy Vendittis Green Lantern stuff I think it's been fantastic. I have also always been a huge Brett Booth fan so I am super excited about this announcement. I have been eagerly awaiting this announcement so happy to see a creative team I like on the book.

Good news to me. I've been letting Buccellato & Manapul's run pile up, I read issues #26 since it was Gage n Googe. Definitely time for a change, I hope Vendetti & Jensen can pull it off. I don't mind Booth's art either, I picked up the Kid Flash heavy issues of Teen Titans and thought he did a good job. I hope they can do this character justice.

I haven't ever read a Flash comic. I think I'm going to jump on at this creative switch. Hopefully I can pick up on what's going on.

Brett Booth's evasive comment about Wally being "on the cover" is interesting. Not convinced the blue Flash is Wally.

Usually when there is a creative team switch it's a good time to jump on a book. If Venditti does what he did with Green Lantern what happened before won't matter much. He quickly yet efficiently changed things up in Green Lantern and put his own spin in things moving forward. I had not been reading Green Lantern before he jumped on and I have been enjoying it since. Haven't felt the need to go back and catch up either. Seeing him on Flash has made me want to add it as well. Hopefully will be as easy and fun to start here.

What does everyone make of the rumour that Wally is about to be reinvented as a black character on his New 52 introduction?
Personally I'm intrigued by a new interpretation, and I'm looking forward to finding out what's next, but I'm sure there will be plenty of strong opinions if this turns out to be true...

I think it's unfair to label people as ignorant because they do not wish to see a character that they hold dear and may have a strong connection with changed to a completely different race. I mean if it's not a big deal why do it at all.
