Dated graphics don't usually bug me. I'm more of substance over style kind of guy. I don't usually mind dated graphics either, but the way the character models move and the voice acting really got to me. If you can get passed that you should definitely try it then. |

Then my suggestion is mass effect first. Good choice but skip ME 1 and start with ME2...its a much better game. |

I'm hoping to get a collection. Not sure that they would release one for the previous generation though.

I'm hoping to get a collection. Not sure that they would release one for the previous generation though. There already is a Mass Effect Trilogy for the last gen. Look it up on Amazon. It should be like $20 or $30. It might have only been on PS3 though? That's the one I had it on. |

By the way, if you have not poked around any of the holiday shopping deals there are some good price drops on last gen titles.

I'm surprised nobody suggested the last Tomb Raider game. It's similar to Uncharted and I thought it was very good. Also, if you dig beat-em-ups DMC:Devil May Cry was a fun button masher (I would avoid playing it around kids though; lots of kid-unfriendly material)

I picked up Gears of War 1-3 for a total of $9. Wasn't on the top of my list but couldn't pass on the price.
