Great book club, guys!
This was the book that got me into the Mignolaverse.
I read this one about a year ago, and like you said, it introduces you to a very interesting world that you just want to see more of, and fortunately there is a whole lot more to read(which at times can also be intimidating)
If you guys liked this one i can definitely recommend reading the epic BPRD Plague of Frogs story, which(as the title suggests)is all about the frog monsters first seen in Seed of Destruction.

Great episode as usual, guys!!
One of my favourite worlds and one that I was immersed in before I even touched Marvel or DC. Hellboy's world pulled me in with the Nazi Occult hooks but kept me for 12 volumes + specials and spinoffs. It got me in to my favourite writer, HP Lovecraft, kept my imagination purring with myths and legends from all over the world, and left me an allegory about a hero who was fated to be something incredible who was nurtured in to something better.
I'd highly recommend carrying on with the story. There are some incredible characters and stories ahead. Hellboy In Hell will make much more sense too.
And only one nitpick. I believe that the whole of Professor Trevor Bruttenholm's last name is pronounced "Broom". It's a running joke in flashbacks. I could be wrong though.
Thanks for giving me a reason to revisit the Red Right-Hand Of Doom.

Read the 1st issue of Hellboy: Seed of destruction last night and it was really great for all of the reasons that you said. Excited to read the rest of the arc. Thank you as always for the great recommendation. My only experience with Hellboy is the 1st movie. Wife didn't like it so I didn't watch the following films. I can't help but hear Ron Pearlman's voice in my head when I'm reading his lines.
I need to watch the film again as well because for some reason when I'm trying to remember I keep inserting scenes from Spawn into it and unless there was a crossover I'm pretty sure that's not correct.
