Hey there friends! Talking Games is back and better than ever. This week Jacqui, Justin, Rob and Steve sit down to discuss how productive video game playing can be. Very productive according to Rob. Listen in as he talks about Bayonetta 2 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Jacqui goes on to talk about raiding with Justin and Rob in Destiny. Justin deep dives into the Evolve Alpha and the impressions that he came away with. Steve talks about the sheer insanity of Sunset Overdrive and what he hopes to see as the series expands. Games people! In addition the crew talks about the games they’re going to pick up in the coming weeks and the GTA 5 first person mode. Will Jacqui play it or wont she? Listen and find out!
Nice podcast once again. Loved all the Sunset Overdrive and Destiny talk since those are the two games I'm playing now. Don't feel alone, Steve, I'm also sitting at level 21 in Destiny, feeling like I'm struggling to catch up so I can join in on some of the end game content. Haven't found a legendary anything yet.
What I'd like to see by this time next year:
Fallout 4 announced and shown at E3 and is "much farther along than anticipated." Really anticipating seeing a new Crackdown as well.
Criterion (makers of Burnout and NFS) are working on a new IP racing game with "ATVs, helicopters, wing suits, etc." Really want to learn more about that! Also looking forward to the next NFS.... was happy they decided to take this year off to make the series fresh again. Ghost Games did a great job with the last one. As long as they keep it pure arcade, I'll be in.
New slim model Xbox One bundle with Halo 5. Recently leaked information about the smaller/cooler chip should give rise to this. Maybe get rid of that huge power brick. That bundle would sell like hotcakes.
Lots of new/announced exclusives for PS4. I feel like the PS4 has dropped the ball these last few months. Their exclusives are no where to be seen or have pushed back to next year. Driveclub was a disaster... wish Evolution would have just made another Motorstorm. Xbox, meanwhile, is coming strong with Forza, Sunset, and MCC. I do *expect* that next year will be stronger for PS4 in terms of exclusives... can't be much weaker (and yet, the system continues to sell like crazy?). I'm excited to see what the devs have been working on.
I'd like to see both PS4 and Xbox One's UI improved immensely. PS4 needs to allow name changes, customization of the home screen. Xbox One needs to iron out some of the bugs causing games to hang on occasion and fix their install times for digital media. Both services need to add ways you can group/sort your games, give you a wishlist so you can flag a game you'd like and you'd get an email when it goes on sale. They need to incorporate more user content. When I go on steam, I see thousands of reviews for games, user-created tags, metacritic scores. All these things help me find games I might be interested in. I don't get that same level of detail from PSN or Xbox Live.
I'll stop there... feel like I could go on forever.. haha.

I am hip deep in the Destiny grind. Up to level 26 but ndot seeing much else in the way of legendary/exotic items. Going to start hitting the weekly strikes and start buying gear off the RE4 Merchant.
First, what I "expect" this time next year is to see some Star Wars Battlefront 3. When I was studying for the bar I would have insomnia panic attacks, I would wake up at night full of adrenalin, I would sneak over to the spare bedroom and play the original Battlefront on the PS2. A few hours of my cat snoozing on my lap while I shot stormtroopers was usually enough for my brain to relax enough to sleep. I am really excited to see an updated version of that game.
Second, What i "want" to see is an announcement of a Rocksteady Justice League game. Taking what we have in the Arkham series and crank it up to 11. It will never happen, but we can dream...
You show me a calendar that says "In July" and I'll make cheese for you.
