I respectfully disagree on absolutely everything you just said. You sound jaded, and it seems that with your mindset you were not going to like it no matter what the story was.

I think, perhaps, you ought to refresh your memory on the definition of "respectful" before attempting to use the phrase "respectfully disagree".

I'm not going to justify that with a response.

This was great, thoroughly enjoyed it - I like how Snyder tackles the problem of mainstream comics characters, how to create genuine tension and then drop a reveal, something that especially made me smile was having Bane link up with 'Batman' for their own 'fast-ball special'. It did feel compressed into 6 issues however coming out of Zero Year which felt like they stretched 9 issues to 12 I was good with the pacing it felt breathless and gave the book nervous energy.
The only thing I decided on in the end I didn't like was the 'magic life pool' hidden under Gotham... I didn't need it, explaining how characters survive seemingly certain death [Death of the Family ending] is unnecessary, he's the Joker you knew he'd be back, people tell me it was essential to the story and I don't see it. But overall Story and Artwork were excellent, especially the Capullo now trademark symbolic imagery - It felt like a Holmes / Moriarty final showdown.

The Lazaurs Pit is a part of the Batman mythology and it connects to the whole Batman universe. I think that was a really nice decision. i have rad the issue a couple times and it gets better and better. The only thing which bothered me in this whole run, was zero year, becaus like you said, it was very stretched...and I hoped we would get mehr Bruce on a bike fighting primitiv through a wasteland Gotham
the problem I have with Tonys post, you said that you don't like it in very many different words, but what exactly you did not like, thats a secret. There are now examples from the story, so it is really hard to have a discussion based on vague attributes. Most of your points I simple do not understand or I could not link them to the stuff that happens in endgame

Stefan,
I've not yet read the book in question, so I'm not going to comment, except to say that I think Tony's post lays out in general what he feels the problems are, whilst being respectful about spoiling tons of major plot points for those not yet in the know. So, a nicely done piece of work, I think, and much harder to do than you'd think...and something I struggle with myself!
Just saying, Bob

Thank you Bob, I did not know we do not speak about spoilers yet. Then I will wait, but I really want to know which pieces exactly Tony disliked, to understand his view better. I think there is generaly a split up between people that adore Snyders work and people that are very critical. And I do believe some people critisize Snyder just because he is so successfull and there you do not get very elaborated points, so you can not have a productive discussion about it. That said, I dont think Tony is one of that kind, that is just my impression from other corners of the internets. Sorry for my bad language, I hope I could express myself properly

That said, I dont think Tony is one of that kind, that is just my impression from other corners of the internets. Sorry for my bad language, I hope I could express myself properly Stefan, No reason for apologies, you did fine! For every author of note in any medium, there will be those who read them who aren't on board who'll criticize, but sometimes even the most fervent fan can have problems with a favorite author's work. Whether it's Scott Snyder, Shaw, or Shakespeare, if you write, there will be critiques, and as long as they're fair, it can begin a nice conversation about the story in question. We don't have a hard-and-fast rule about spoiler-y things, but to me, you take your lead from where the discussion begins; if it's immediately after the release of the book, tread cautiously, or if the initial posts trend toward being coy about plot points, try to do the same, and then run rampant with them as the conversation goes on. Of course, you can use our "Message" feature and have an off-the-Forum conversation where you can spoil away to your heart's content! Another way is to create a "spoiler text"--I guess that's what you call it; I'm clueless about such things! Anyway, I'm sure everyone already knows, but here's one way to do it: Type in the word "spoiler" in brackets like these [ ] Add your secret Type in that bracketed "spoiler" again, but add a / before the word, and with any luck, it will remain hidden behind a "click to show" banner, much like this classic movie *gasp* moment: Darth Vader is Luke's father

got it! This will come in handy
I personally know several people who are completely turned off by how dark Snyder writes bat man. And how he incorporates his horror background. Those are the reasons I love it but I can see why that would turn some one off.

I really enjoyed the last issue, but in all honesty I was disappointed with the previous 5. There's something that just didn't connect with me and didn't grip me into the story. Might have to go back and re-read the arc to see if I'm missing something.
