I just caught an article that goes on to say Cullen Bunn an Dale Eaglesham will be producing Sinestro's a new ongoing featuring Sinestro! Great news I feel, Bunn is a solid writer and somewhat underrated. Eaglesham's Fantastic Four was a visual treat so I can't wait to see what he does with this project. Sinestro has long been one of my favorite DC characters, I half expected him to get a solo series in the wake of The Sinestro Corps War, so for me this has been a long time coming. It's nice to see Bunn returning to DC too, his work on the Superman/Batman title was really good. Anyway what are your thoughts? Any love for Sinestro?
On a side note I'm loving the migration of Marvel writers over to DC lately!

I've dropped all of the Lantern's books that I used to read, but I would pick this up in a heartbeat! Sinestro deserves having his own book!

I'll pick it up when it comes to trade. Does anyone know how well the lantern family of books are doing? I mean I don't really think of Green Lantern being an A-List DC character (as much as I love them) is there really a market for a sixth lantern title?

Nothing against Johns but his run was just to intimidating to get into so when he left I gave it a go. I personally thought that the LIGHTS OUT event was fantastic and the events that took place in it and have changed the GL world were great (don't want to spoil anything). I have also heard that Charlies Soule is doing amazing stuff with Red Lanterns which I am tempted to try but I am also trying to spend less on comics so who knows.

That's good to hear, I'm really looking forward to picking up Green Lantern and New Guardians when they come to trade, as well as the Lights Out event. Also, does anyone have sale numbers on what the Lantern books are selling like?

I'm in for this. Liking all the Green Lantern books at the moment. Haven't tried Larfleeze but I'm surprised they've managed to squeeze a book out of that character.

The Green Lantern franchise is really appealing to me. I like the space stuff but like you I am surprised every time I see a Larfleeze issue. I have never read a Larfleeze book. Maybe it's good but I just can't justify spending the cash to read it. If Larfleeze gets his own book then Sinestro should for sure have his own.

If Larfleeze gets his own book then Sinestro should for sure have his own. ^^^^^^^^^^^This.^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I've been getting Green Lantern since this run started, just the regular GL series though, not one of the 76 spin-off's. Though I've been tempted a few times by the Red Lantern series I haven't taken the plunge. But, and I'm like some of you in that I'm really trying to keep the # of books I'm into under control, if/when a Sinestro book comes out - I'm in. I think villain books are hard to keep going just by their very nature, but Sinestro is such a well developed character with such a great history that if you started from the beginning it really wouldn't even have to be a 'villain' book if you know what I mean. I couldn't imagine them not getting a good 2 years worth of material out of that. Plus, he is such a natural tie-in with normal GL title that it's one of the few times I wouldn't mind a cross-over or two.(as long as it was only a cross-over into one book, I don't want to have to buy Larfleeze to find out some part of the story, blech.) If anyone gets more info on this please come back and post it here! - Beau

i am going to give it a pass.. i do not really read lantern books. only picked up the 'New Guardians' because of kyle rayner as it was the mixed colour book of lanterns, and i really liked the interply between them.. which has gone by the way side.. so looks like i am going to drop it soon

Anyone else read the first issue. I thought it was fantastic. Great art and some real interesting story elements set up moving forward. I have heard lots if good stuff about Bunns writing but I never read any of his other work. I am excited for this series moving forward.
