I have a question about collecting graphic novels, at the moment I am collecting the Marvel Now: Deadpool graphic novel series by Gerry Duggan & was wondering I am interested in maybe collecting some batman & arrow but here's my question:
How can I find out which is the latest series of graphic novels that are currently out for either superhero?

For Batman and Green Arrow, the latest series of graphic novels would be the New 52 versions. An adaption of the Arrow television series is also out in graphic novel format and Batman has a variety of different titles (Detective Comics, Batman and Robin etc). The New 52 versions are the easiest to collect because they are numbered.

Wish I had this when I first got back into comics. Pre New 52 DC graphic novels were notoriously difficult to pick up in order.

If you get a chance, check out this older run. It's a legendary team-up between Green Lantern and Green Arrow.

I would like to wholeheartedly second that recommendation. I read it a couple years ago from a comixology sale and it's fantastic. Though I would warn it's VERY political. I honestly didn't care about green arrow at all till I read that.

Thought I'd keep my questions in this thread as & when I have them rather than clogging up the forum, now for my question:
As far as DC's New 52 reboot is concerned if starting with batman what should I start with? I have heard I should start with court of owls, is this correct? & if so how many volumes does it come in, or is the new 52 reboot of batman's story arc a lot longer than just the court of owls series?
Any info is helpful.

From what I've heard the Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo Batman series is pretty solid so have no fear starting with that. I'm pretty sure it's collected in the first Batman volume but there is another volume collecting all the Bat-family tie-ins for that event.

The New 52 Trade reading order for Batman would Be Court of Owls, Night of the owls, Death of the Family. Death of the FAmily has "Joker" edition, which encompasses a lot of the tie-ins, many of which are really good. I believe Zero Year: Secret city is out. Those are all the arcs in Batman up-to-date. Batman and Robin (my favorite): Born to Kill, The Pearl, Death of the Family(joker edition covers most of this but still some valid content in here), Requiem for Damien is the most recent volume. Detective comics: Faces of Death, Scare Tactics, Emperor Penquin, and Volume 4, which I think is unnamed. Batman inc: Is a really long trade list worth of it's own thread, but I'll make your life easier and give you this link. It's worth the Read, but it's alot of reading. www.comicvine.com/grant-morrison/4040-40434/forums/grant-morrison-batman-reading-order-671943/As for Green Arrow: Pick up at Jeff Lemire's run, starting with "the Kill Machine." I believe that's all that's out so far.

Can anyone tell me if Felicity Smoak appears in the green arrow new 52 trade paperbacks? Not in any of the current ones, but she has just been introduced into the new run starting with issue #35 which might still be in stores, I've seen it around.

Can anyone tell me if Felicity Smoak appears in the green arrow new 52 trade paperbacks? Not yet and she won't be until late next year by the look of it. Green Arrow Volume 6 will be finishing up Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino's run, and then she'll be introduced in Green Arrow Volume 7 which will probably be out around next October. So it'll be easier and much faster to pick up the single issues if you really want to see Felicity.

Going back pre-Nu52, DC has recently collected the 1988 Mike Grell run of Green Arrow into Trades. They put out Vols 1-2 - Hunters Moon & Here Be The Dragons - which I'd highly recommend. For fans of 'Arrow' the 2nd vol. features Shado. Since they have been published in the last year they are readily available.
Re: Felicity Smoak - as previous commenters already said, she appears in the most recent issues (Diggle, inspired by the TV character, shows up earlier) BUT there is an earlier character called Felicity Smoak (later Felicity Raymond). She appeared in Firestorm as the title character's stepmother in the 1980s. Apparently she managed a computer software firm, so having the tv character named after her is an interesting little call back, even if they are not related any other way.

Are there any graphic novels available for Roy Harper's alter ego Arsenal? (Preferably new 52).
