I know there is a lot of talk about diversity in comics lately, so I thought I'd ask who everyone's favourite non-white comic creators are and what books they're working on.
Personally, I'm loving Siya Oum on "Lola XOXO", which she writes, draws, and I believe colours for Aspen MLT. There's also the team on Genius, from Top Cow; we're only two issues in, three if you count the pilot season release, but Afua Richardson, Mark Bernadin, and Adam Freeman are killing it. And I know Zenescope has a not-undeserved reputation for being a trashy publisher, but I thought Latoya Morgan did a good job with Goddess Inc.
Anybody have any recs?

I learned about this series from the 2014 Eisner Awards. It's Watson and Holmes from New Paradigm Studios ( www.newparadigmstudios.com/about/watson-and-holmes/). It's written by Karl Bollers, who is African-American, and reimages Watson and Holmes as coming from NYC. It's available on Comixology. I've picked up the first issue, and overall I think it's pretty well done. It doesn't seem gimmicky and offers up a pretty strong, modern take on the detective story.

I just added it to my Comixology wishlist.
