*********************************SPOILER TALK************************
Ok So I do have a couple of negatives
1. It seemed weird how nova core was portrayed as more a race than a policing organization
2. I really like ronan and I wish he hadn't come off quite so villinous, I would have liked to see him more honorable guy forced into impossible situation.
3. Some of the dialog between drax and gamora seemed a little stilted
But Mainly I have positives
Basically past that it was perfect. I mean this was bar none the funniest marvel movie yet, and I would definitely say a strong contender for best period. The Pacing was fantastic, we spent just enough time in each setting to get a good tease, but not enough to get bogged down. All of the Characters looked great, but the standout was Ronan, He looked like he stepped right off the page. I really can't stress the humor in this movie enough, the jokes were integrated into the movie so it didn't feel like they were tossed in to lighten the mood but as organic parts of the characters and the story. Bradley Cooper absolutely nailed it as Rocket, really hope skottie youngs book get a little bit of a bump. I really thought watching this movie, why the hell do I need more Star Wars when I can have this. Overall this is probably Marvels biggest win yet. If they were going to make a stinker, this is where it would happen. So many characters no one had heard of, they introduced the baddy of baddies (thanos) but only in two scenes and the audience didn't feel remotely cheated (though they definitely wanted more). I think this movie being good basically means Marvel can do anything they want; Quasar movie? sure! Nova movie? Hell Yeah! Which raises an interesting question, who owns the Starjammers and the shi ar? But that is a thought for another day. Great flick, if you know the source material or don't. In conclusion my wife wants a dancing Groot and has no idea who Howard the duck is and why she should care.
