I guess my story is all too familiar as well! I got into comics about a year ago after picking up Amazing Spidey #700 and wanted to know what else was out there. At the same time I randomly decided to browse comic podcasts when I came across the "Fantastic Four" (love that nickname!) I have about 8 podcasts that I subscribe to and I am excited for the drive on Wednesday mornings because we get a new podcast lol. I love how each of them bring something different to the table from Bobs years of comic experience to Steph working in the industry to Steve with his music interests and unique take on everything. I love it when Bobby gets all excited and talks a mile a minute. Sometimes I will check to see if I accidentally hit the 1.5x speed on my phone when I realize nope! Bobby is just a freaking speed talker hahaha I also loved to see the Clarimont interview that Bob did because it was so cool to not only hear his voice but to see him in person. I know how much he was geeking out giving that interview. What an epic experience for him.
As far as my pull list goes, I have a lot of time at work to browse the internet but I am not big on comic news sites so I dont get a feel of what series is really hyped up until I listen to the podcast to get ideas on what is going to be good. I guess since listening for about a year they have gotten me onto Saga, East of West, Mind MGMT (thanks Steve), Mind the Gap, Pretty Deadly, Velvet and Brian Woods X-Men. And yes, the podcast is officially hated by both my wallet and wife equally hahahaha

And yeah, I got a stiff talking to from my wallet this past week, it was really awkward. I could see the flaps of his mouth moving but all I could hear was "Blah blah blah ... what, do you think I'm MADE of money? ... something something ... and some more", I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention. I'm glad you're enjoying so many books that we've talked about on the show. I hope your pull list continues to be filled with such awesomeness.

I love Talking Comics because it truly works to be a unique comics experience. I love that they all have different personas and bring something different to the show:
Bobby: the leader and diplomat, able to rein in discussion and arguments Stephanie: the industry professional, champion of indie books and digital comics, pure unadulterated excitement Bob: the historian and champion of flagging titles Steve: the romantic (which I mean in a literary form, not in a "Hello Nurse" form)

I like that. I like that a lot. What a lovely compliment. Thanks so much for listening and for joining us here in the forums. Cheers!
