Since there seems to be a lot of people here that like electronic music. This DJ (this is just a live performance of his song that I think is seriously jaw-dropping) is one of my favorites of all time. His name is Bonobo. He's not a dubstep DJ, more of a synth-y ambient DJ.
He's seriously amazing.

I have a really eclectic taste in music it seems. I grew up on bands like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and The Beatles and that translated into my love of bands like Metallica, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers when I was 7-8.
That being said, I also really love rap music, especially dirty south Atlanta rap or the Midwest stylings of artists like Tech N9ne and his Strange Music line-up.
On top of that I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Backstreet Boys, N'Snyc, and New Kids on the Block as well as trashy 80s pop and I guess now I can say current trashy pop (Ke$ha comes to mind).
But I also love alternative bands like The Decemberists, The Mountain Goats, The Format/fun. and Steel Train.
I'm weird.

I've been a Metal-head for as long as I can remember. Iron Maiden were one of the first bands I got into. Metallica was the first gig I went to (on the black album tour) and I've stuck with metal ever since. Mainly thrash (Exodus, Overkill, Gama Bomb etc.), but also doom, prog metal and other stuff. My favourite band of all time is Rush though. I never tire of listening to their albums. Seen them a few times and they're astounding love. I'm also not ashamed to admit I'm partial to cheesy 80s pop and Girls Aloud though.

There's a lot of music i like especially older stuff like the Beatles, Johhny Cash, the Police, Bruce Springsteen and a lot more. But what i really love right now is the latest album by Queens of the Stone Age(Like Clockwork).
There's also some dutch music that's good(but more stuff that's bad lol).

I grew up taking piano lessons and playing bass in school orchestra. I got into Zappa and progressive rock and it scratched my ich to rock out and still educate myself (and show off). The school have me an electric and let me join jazz lab and I got really into that. From there I got into bands like Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers etc. My dad was a coked up dick in the 70s and 80s and got me into punk/new wave (New Order and Talking Heads were and still are some of my favorites). I started collecting records and was drawn to dance music and disco because (I'm sarcastic and I thought it was funny) the bass lines and rhythmic elements. JUSTICE got me into electro and house music. I had a band that doesn't perform much anymore from Long Island named the 4NZX (forensics). Hope this clip works youtu.be/gw6rKOybks8

Check out my bands new promo video, we had a right laugh using the green screen. Came out ok I think, hopefully bag some more big venue gigs with it. Look out for the guitarists facial expressions, priceless. youtu.be/2qC1fnU-_2U

It's funny, I'm noticing a lot of movie soundtracks and classical coming up in this conversation. My musical taste varies, similar to most here. I grew up on punk from my older siblings, found metal, then the White Stripes and the Shins changed everything for me and its just progress from there. Never thought some of my favourite albums and bands would be hip hop and electronic. But over the past year or so I just havent heard anything new I loved and wasn't necessarily getting bored of the music I already had, but just needed a change. Then David Aja's playlists on the early Hawkeye issues showsed me some incredible classical. And then I started getting alot more film scores. I had a couple I liked but never really actually listened to them. And for the last year all I've been able to listen to, especially while reading, is classical and film scores. I'm also a musician and write songs, but find it way to difficult to start a band as everyone I meet has very basic tastes. Like I will write songs for every genre I love, but I'll meet a dummer that can only play for one. So I started self producing stuff electronically, some amazing programs out there where you can literally have an entire orchesta play a simply set of chords you wrote down. And free too which is awesome. I feel stupid doing this, but i have no idea how to get my stuff out there, the internet seems to be TOO big now, I'll post my stuff somewhere and it'll get 1 listen. My music is all instrumental and heavily influenced by a combination of film scores, The Prodigy, as well as some Neil Young and Stooges and then your basic punk and metal riffs and beats. And of course heavily comic book/film influenced, using some audio samples from a few movies. If it's to your likeing or you know anybody pass it on. Some tracks are available for download on Soundcloud and a digital EP for sale on bandcamp. tooth0.bandcamp.com/soundcloud.com/t-o-o-t-h
